Cant find anything about this anywhere!
Maybe I am the only person playing this game on cloud gaming idk
But I have 3 gig of space left and cant really buy/download much more now without deleting things, and its the world updates that takes up most of the space!
Could it be so wonderful that the new 40th anniversery build actually contains all these updates so I can delete these and still have all the photogrammetry cities?!
Photogrammetry and helicopters are a match made in heaven so I cant be without them but right now I cant buy the new JAS 39 GRIPEN (Griffin) and as a Swede that is a must!
We need more cloud space!
And no, I cant afford a series x and a series s is a downgrade.
Should also say that I play it on my old original xbox one also and it has better depth and presence then the one x!
Its like you are actually sitting in the plane and you feel the distance down to earth, its not like that on the x.
So cloudgaming has brought new life in the old girl! The soundchip on it is better too!
But anyone has and help with the cloud storage?!

I don’t do cloud gaming so I know nothing about that but the overwhelming share of the size of the World updates is the Points of Interest and you can delete them seperately from the ‘3D cities’ which each World Update also contain.
Does cloud gaming give you your own storage space to put purchases in? Do you have ‘Content Manager’? It would be in ‘Content Manager’ where you would find a box at the top of the list which expands all entries into their sub-contents. The easiest way to find all the points of interest is probably to do a search for the word ‘interest’ and then uninstall those to clear up space.
I fly via the cloud and I havent encountered this problem. Though I did recently have to clear all the saved data for my other games as well as uninstall them in order for the sim to even run post SU11.

This problem is very big right now since there are a bunch of stuff I want to buy in the black friday sale.
I bought the himalaya mesh yesterday but there is no way I can play it! Its like 30 gig download and 20 gig installed.
And If this isnt a problem for anybody else right now it will be very soon since the world updates keep coming and it already takes up most of the 50 gigs available.
Gonna go in and see what POI I can delete and what sort of difference that makes. But that is sad to, having to make the world look worse.
I thought downloads was not a thing on the cloud but instead I am downloading to the cloud. Then they need to give us and option to expand it.
It should just come with the purches!
When I buy a 30 gig download that should pay for 30 gig cloudspace.

You mean they should give you illimited free space so you can play the most realistic flight simulation in History on an Xbox from 2013…Ten years ago…
I am playing on a one x most of the time.
And I am paying every month and buying new things so I dont see why not buying a new console would be the limiting factor?! They are sure making money from me.
Its hardly hardware thats the issue.

You cant delete specific parts of all world updates, but a lot of them!
And the POI takes majority of that space!
So managed tå go från 45 gig to 18 gig by deleting them and some other things.
Enough to install himalaya mesh and buy GRIPEN!
But now have 45 gigs installed again…
Better remove the himalayan mesh again, it just takes up too much space.
But please MS!

Well I managed to delete the custom made objekts from a lot (not all) of the world updates.
Brought the size down under 20 gigs, and that made it possible to install the himalaya mesh and buy the jas39.
But it shouldnt be like this!
Now I have to delete the himalaya mesh again if I want to buy anything else.
And the game has started to crasch sometimes now.
And the maverick and reno dlc has stopped working.
Since I seem to be the only cloud playing gamer I might as well report that this new update wiped all my storage, so now I have 50 gb free, but everything I have bought needs to be installed again.
Strange though some things are installed! Some of the world updates, and it seems the updates I could not partially delete is still there!
Its going to take forever to install everything again.
And should I then delete parts of it again then to stop it from taking up all space?!
World updates should not count!
Will try and see if I can only download certain parts.
Edit: could choose just the photogrametry, and that is tiny downloads. So downloading the planes now.
But its sad that they put so much work in and you cant have things installed because of a cap.
It really should only be for the things you actually buy, not for the free stuff.
To follow up on this one. I’ve been using the sim primarily on Xcloud, but I too have run into issues with the 50 gig limit.
However, I can’t seem to find ANY info as to whether more space could be purchased or if there are any plans to increase capacity.
Now obviously I’m not looking for infinite space, but since a lot of addons/WUs etc are increasing in size, it will be impossible to have them all installed without running into issues.
Also, since there doesn’t seem to be many using XCloud (via Gamepass) on this forum, accurate info about how MSFS operates on this platform is really difficult to come by. Even from the Mods.
If anyone has more info, that would be greatly appreciated.
Yeah! 50 gig is not much when the world updates takes up so much!
And when there is a new update it thinks all I installed is not installed, but!
This time I just played on cloud through my pc, and that picks up cloudsave and everything is there, and kept trying the xbox and a couple of days later it started with everything! Thank god!
But! Need to uninstall everything but the photogrammetry from the new zeeland update soon since it takes up way to much and I want space to buy all new choppers!
Please fix this microsoft!

Created an account just to say thank you to whoever was responsible at Asobo/MS for moving all the World Updates to the base version of the game running on Xcloud. Freed up more than 20GB out of the 50GB cloud storage limit for me
