Hi gents, first of all i live in germany and i know i have some internet issues because of the high water 2 weeks ago, but what is confusing me is, that if i use my wifi connection msfs is almost working fine except marketplace is really slow.
Bit if i use ethernet cable which should be better i guess no connection to servers are possible and i have a freeze every 30 seconds…
Xbox is connected to internet.
Could it be that the ethernet cable is not good enough, nerver had issues but yeah it is 15 years old.
Check how fast the connection is via WiFi and Ethernet. I was getting 160Mbs and I thought I could do better with Ethernet, it dropped to 80 because the port was 10/100. In you have a GB Ethernet ports make sure you have at a min cat 6 or higher rated cables
Okay i will check that, but in normal case ih was always better with ethernet cable. But i already orderd a new one yesterday Cat8 i hope this will fix my issues.
I want to use the ethernet connection but its still just working with wifi properly…
Hi, let me add my 2 cents. I am also from Germany have got the same freezes every few seconds since the release on xbox too and also had connection issues to the server. My internet connection is stable in every other case, so I couldn’t figure out where the problem is. It was necessary to restart the game many times to get in the menu, cause the loading screen took forever with now loading bar or turning circle sometimes.
In the menu I could see, that the game is trying to establish a connection to a server… or is searching for one… but only one time it was able to connect to the Western Europe Server. And then the freezes were gone and everything worked smooth.
I use an ethernet cable (Cat 7) and it is recognized as an Gbit connection to the router. When I red this thread I tried to connect via Wifi and all freezes and connection problems were gone. Also the loading screen issue seems to not exist anymore. Could it be possible, that the console is using wifi also to look in which country or region it is and then directly connect to the correct server?
So, I don’t think that the (wrong) ethernet cable is the problem… it seems that something, the wifi connection is able to, is necessary.
I‘m really happy to see that i am not the only person with this issue. Its annoyinh beacause i want to stay conected with the ethernet cable which i already changed to a cat8 now.
But the issue is still the same.
I managed no solution than just play MSFS in wifi which is not really a problem but it sucks to be honest.
