XBOX - Cursor modes messes with throttle

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

Entering cursor mode on the Xbox controller is causing the throttle to accelerate or decelerate in inibuilds aircraft and some default aircraft. I have remapped the cursor mode button to the left analog stick as per 2020 controls. I have checked the control settings and nothing else is mapped to this button to causes these issues.

If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:

A20N V2, A21, A330, A400 and other default aircraft.

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

Every time I enter cursor mode.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Remapped cursor mode on the Xbox controller to pushing in the left analog stick.
  2. Push in the left analog stick to enter cursor mode at anytime during flight and in autopilot.

It won’t allow me to upload a video of this due to size but clicking into cursor mode with either cut my throttle to idle or send it to TOGA. it makes controlling the aircraft on Xbox without a mouse a complete nightmare. I have nothing else mapped to pressing in the left analog stick so no clue what the cause is.

I think the game is using AI pilot that didn’t really exist -or does it -for when you have cursor on.

I have all my assistances turned off in my settings… unless there is something happening in the background that I am not realising

Done some digging around and I think you are right. On the old sim, there was an option called AI Piloting in Cursor Mode which could be turned off to prevent these issues. I see no option to turn it off in fs2024. Microsoft please fix

I am having the same issue since the release of the game. Has there been a resolution found for this problem?

The patch released yesterday has (partially) resolved the issue in Inibuilds aircraft but the issue remains on other default aircraft.

Ahh I’ll have to give it a try because the airbuses are my favourite, I don’t know my way around a Boeing cockpit :joy:

Even after the update, still having issue with cursor mode

Yeah very weird. Looked to have initially resolved itself but it’s gone back to how it was. I’ve switched back over to 2020 now. Can’t be dealing with 24 until it’s sorted

This is still happening, definitely in the A321lr. It’s a pain, near approach and Toga kicks in and the plane suddenly ascends. I read somewhere the only way around it is to just not use the cursor during flight so I’m gonna try that tomorrow

It’s so difficult to not use cursor tho. Have to aim that tiny pointer dot around your screen. It’s beyond belief this hasn’t be fixed nearly 8 months into the sim. Not sure they pay attention to issues outside of the most voted.

Yeah I just tried the mouse so I’ll use the mouse till it’s sorted. I’ve done 2, 8 hour flights the past few days and both were spoilt by the cursor bug, though second flight I did manage to land manually. But yeah, 8 monthsso it should be sorted by now

After the latest beta build of Sim update 3, the throttle doesn’t work for me at all on the A330. When I push throttle increase, the reversers are deployed and stay deployed. This is after sim update 3 new beta build
