I’ve recorded game clips on Xbox and all of them so far have been soundless.

I’m not sure what the issue is exactly.
Do you hear any sounds when playing the game?
Is it only when you record clips?
Some things to check: Is sound actually turned on? (Settings?)
If you think this might be a bug specifically for Flight Simulator, please provide as much information as possible.

Edit: @SofaJockey, did a quick search on the internet. Seems to be a problem related to Xbox and not Flight Simulator specific. More people are having the same issues.
A hard restart seems to solve things.
