Xbox & Navigraph: A request from Asobo and Devs

Hello all,

As you know, thanks to HJet by FlightFX, we Xbox users are now able to use Navigraph charts in G3000 in that aircraft. So yesterday, Navigraph shared a “how to” video for using charts in this aircarft.

There are some great replies in the comments which are:

For my case, I bought the Hjet without a second thought and subscribed to Navigraph for a month to try the integration and enjoy monitoring my aircraft on the charts. However, I do not think subscribing for a year just for one aircraft is not feasible for me. ( 1 EUR = 19TRY- .)

So Asobo and other devs. Can you please update your aircraft and make it happen for other aircraft, too? Like adding a tablet to A320Neo and/or Boeings, Kodiak’s G1000, etc.

Thanks.

Totally seconding this request now that it is proven that Navigraph can be integrated with the sim in the console

There is already a mount for a tablet on the A320 and the inop EFB on the Dreamliner not to mention other aircraft where the G3000 is used

Second this. It would be a dream come true if implemented in the A320 and 787-10.

Ah you got me… a request TO Asobo and microsoft, not From Asobo and Microsoft. I thought THEY were asking for this.

My discounted 0.02: There’s licensing considerations if MS enables it formally. Plus the optics of having Navblue as the official Navdata partner, but enabling a competing service.

Is it possible that we will see charts from NavBlue in the sim before this decade ends?

Personal Comments

Charts+ is in limbo as everyone knows.

MS won’t say why.

My Monday Night quarterback read on that (which is worth very little): Navblue wants more money to enable it.

Seems like tilt then.

Navblue could collect from subscriptions to the charts, just like Navigraph is already doing or Jeppesen and wait… Navblue in the aviation industry… just saying

Sure, but there’s likely a requirement to license the product further, to appear in the sim officially. That would be separate from whether MS paid upfront to provide charts to everyone or we’d have to subscribe individually.

Again, just some conjecture based on a few data points. Only MS and NB could say for sure.

Hi,

Can PC users open navigraph application for PC and connect the Sim Via simconnect and monitor their flights in the app? Doesn’t it work for licenced aircraft?

If you have a Navigraph subscription then yes, moving maps via Navigraph charts works for all aircraft (on PC).

You don’t have to be on the same PC either. Can login to your account anywhere and see it.

Someone could also make an Xbox thingy for this subscription from Aersosoft on PC.

Thank you for your answer.

So that means on Xbox All we need is “access” for sharing the data, like simconnect. ( Which also would be great for using 3rd party mission products/add ons, if I am not wrong)

So no license problem if you track your flight out of the cockpit right?

If you have a subscription you can track your flight via charts (the app or web) from any device that allows for it.

Are these charts tracking via the local network or via an external server??

Just wondering as if its external then the added network traffic/load might not be good for our stuttering X-Boxes. Just wondering, I’m on X-Box so can’t use charts (yet)

From what I can recall you connect with Navigraph servers in Europe for all functionality - there will be some delay. If you’re experiencing stutters in Xbox it will definitely increase the load on the GPU and CPU.

I would welcome Navblue charts in the sim as another option i.e. a license could be taken by Microsoft for individuals to take out a subscription with Navblue the same as what happens with Navigraph now.
