I reckon they’ll add liveries for the planes that did get them and are already part of the sim (a320, 747-8) plus some deal with Inibuilds for the payware ones (a350, a380)
Ini used to have the liveries for the 747 and A320neo for download on their desktop app, but they vanished a couple months ago. I wonder if this is why they removed them.
The trailer is also made from the same video Lufthansa posted back in December 2025 highlighting the liveries, and they mention inibuilds and the liveries on their desktop app in the video description.
Ini still have the 100th Anniversary liveries up for their A350.
This news release is oddly phrased.
The first section makes it sound like the aircraft are coming to the sim
“The Microsoft Flight Simulator team is delighted to announce the upcoming release of the current fleet of Lufthansa aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024”
It’s only the third section of the release mentions they’re actually talking about liveries (though it is also mentioned in the title)
“To honor this remarkable journey, the upcoming livery package offers a selection of six meticulously recreated and authentic Lufthansa liveries allowing simmers to relive and celebrate Lufthansa’s enduring legacy in the skies.”
But only 2 of the 6 aircraft, the A320Neo and 747-8i, are officially part of 2024 (not counting AI traffic models). The other aircraft are, so far, only from third party developers.
Yeah I can see the 787 as that can be brought as its part of the 2024 upgrade pack. but the a380 is payware/ai traffic not Asobo Microsoft side unless ones arriving down the road for base / upgradable
I wouldn’t expect the Working Title 787-10 to get this livery as Lufthansa doesn’t operate that variant. Since this is a licensed product I would think that would prevent them from any “fictionalization” of liveries, but who knows.
My only guess has two possibilities:
In the future, we get a 787-9, Asobo reaches some kind of agreement with IniBuilds to bring the future A380 and A350 v2 to the base simulator, or the A380 and A350 v2 become FF.
The trailer is misleading advertising.
In part I agree, the trailer has tremendous graphics and if you enter PS5 it is 100% nothing like that!
We get most of the aircraft in the trailer and probably eventually most if not all.
or, more logical explanation, the liveries are for AI / live traffic.
