What I don’t really understand is if this issue is memory then why is the a310 more stable than a321/a320 CEO surely should be opposite I rarely have issues with 310 and the dc6 is flawless ok it has Garmin’s but still very complex. The dc6 is more stable than the beechcraft

It amazes me how different experiences we all have on the same machines. I haven’t had a single CTD or even one black screen on the A310 in SU12 and I usually fly from add-on airports although I try to use smaller one and good ones like Pyreguee and so on. Do people who constantly crash have something specific that make that happen? I use XBOX only for the sim for example I wonder if that makes a difference when people have it loaded with other games. Do people fly mostly inside the cockpit or do you do lots of panning and external views ( I do some but don’t exaggerate and never use them when taking off or landing ). Peripherals? I use mouse, Hotas One and the controller only to move around the cockpit and for external views. Hopefully with new tools that Asobo highlighted in their latest developer video they will be able to see what goes on because this sim has so many variations with 1000s of add-ons that it is probably hard for them to pin down a single issue.

Me too hoping the pmdg will be better optimised for the Xbox, I gave up flying the a320 because of the black screens and just use ga aircraft which mostly I don’t have much problem with so if I can have one tube liner that I can fly that would be great

Absolutely no third party addon airports, I’ve tried every sort of possible equation and nothing. Uninstalled, installed and still nothing.
It’s broken on the Xbox side of things and it’s just that simple.
Makes me sick how unresponsive and shockingly unprofessional the quality control team are to turn a blind eye to these sim breaking bugs.

The annoying thing is there is just no consistency.
I had a very bad experience on SU12, actually happier with what we have now and it’s shocking.
The money I spent on peripherals, console and stupid addon aircraft’s which don’t work due to broken game, I should have just gone down the PC route * rolls eye*
No point looking forward to PMDG if you can’t even manually enter a waypoint, yet alone load simbrief scuffs
Yeah I’ll hang in but certainly if by world update 13 it hasn’t been verbally addressed I’m gone. Sell up everything

The only positive here is, that if you and I ever decide to go the PC route, all our purchases transfer over to that platform so that’s a relief. The money is not totally wasted.

with my experience i can say that changing view often is a way to get more ctd and black screen Issues at final landing .
i think it loads memory too much.
i rarely change view , stay always in cockpit view .
the fact is that i do not fly more than 1h30 / 2h
i only use now a320 LVFR with exclusively 3 party addons airports. some of them do black screen on final like LEPA , but no CTD anymore since update.
live weather on , photogrammetry on , live traffic off , lvfr static aircraft. ground traffic set to 0 .

I’ve been off the A310 for a while because it just crashes or black screens on me at least 80% of the time. But I love that airliner and I want to fly it to nice places.
I just set up a flight from LVFR SCEL Santiago to JFK. Jumped in at gate 22. I didn’t dare to look outside, and certainly not to drone cam around the airport to check it out as I normally love to do. Instead I waited for it to do it’s thing and settle down in the dark (7:30am) and I turned the 3 battery switches on.
That was it, all it took. Direct to dashboard. I’m sad but in someway I’m relieved. It CTD within minutes and not after an hour of setup when I taxi, or even worse, just as I touch down after a long haul flight. That’s the A310 done for a few more weeks for me.
I love airliners, fully operating it and manually programming it. Fortunately I also love VFR, IFR, small jets, golden oldies, bush flying, helis, in fact I love most of it. Apart from gliders, but that’s just because so far I suck at gliders in MSFS. 
Most of the rest of it is working great and not crashing on me and I’ve been having a blast, so that’s what I’ll continue doing until Asobo get this thing working properly.
I keep tempting fate but the Cirrus Vision Jet hasn’t black screened or CTD on me yet.

I fly without rolling cache enabled for as long as i can remember. So you get black screens at LEPA as well?
I think I’m going to turn live traffic off as well. ATC is crazy anyway, so it doesn’t matter.
But the fact that we must restrict ourselves to all sort of things like not changing camera angles too much, don’t use drone etc etc is pretty bizarre in my opinion.

Exactly, this is the reason I still put money into airports. In worst case I’ll just migrate to PC later on. But I still have hope that they will stabilise the experience on Xbox, but it might take several months for sure.
I’m mainly flying the Longitude and I usually do very short flights, around 30 minutes. This combo doesn’t render too many problems really.

So I just bought Drzewiecki’s Washington landmarks and airport. In terms of scenery this is known to be heavy, I must say that I thought to myself that I was being a bit stupid buying this on xbox.
Just flown a 1.5hr flight in the vision jet, right over Washington to land. All parked up at the gate and shutdown. I lost ATC voice on COM1 but switching to COM2 fixed it. Lovely colourful screens with no hint of black the whole flight, no CTD, decent frame rates.
If Asobo can make the sim work this well with all of the other planes then it’ll be absolutely amazing. I’d love to be able to fly the A310 with the confidence I’ve now got in this awesome little jet.

I tried to load a flight in the Longitude from Santa Monica airport in order to try out an approach to my recently purchased San Diego airport.
Boom, black screens immediately when the plane spawned on the Santa Monica runway. Tried again. Black screen again on spawning.
I then tried to load a flight from a small Caribbean island instead. No problems at all. It’s so heavily dependent on how busy area you are at. This is of course known, but still, it amazes me how sensitive the sim is.
It’s really strange because I was one to complain heavily in this thread being in the same boat in su10/11 but su12 has cleared most of my issues I have over 100 add-ons installed the consistency across the player base is really odd being on the same platform.The static aircraft add on is the only one I keep uninstalled I believe it tanks the FPS my end

The inconsistentsy is indeed something I would never ever understand. The Sim today is day and night compared to yesterday, had 3 successful flights departed from the same airports that gave me black screens yesterday.
How??

I agree my friend I haven’t been to have a complete flight for a few weeks using the LNVR Airbuses - CTD when launching a flight with a plan or black screens on taxi. I was really enjoying the Sim in January but since SU12 it’s been problematic. I was going to take a break from the beta as I’ve been in it for a year but im staying hoping that the next beta will be better than the current experience. We know it can be done we’ve seen it work well with the new year updates in Jan

You quote part of my post and then miss the fact that my flight was great with no black screens or CTD. You can’t argue that it can’t be done on xbox when it actually worked!
