It might be with MSFS launch on XBOX though, which could be a different date than XBOX launch

Agree with MegaRice. From what I know, until now ASOBO doesn’t have a launch date of MSFS to XBOX. But I agree, with the launch of MSFS to XBOX we can expect DX12 also to PC.
Why? Most developers fork their code and have teams working independently on both branches. Just because they have an Xbox version doesn’t mean that the code is consolidated.
Xbox version is probably already being worked on. Many things can be done in parallel.
