Hi, I hope someone could give me a hand or advice.
So I’ve been playing this game since launch, and as the games gotten on, I’ve noticed the general performance has gotten worse. Yes I understand this could be a result of DLCs, or more things being added to the game that I install.
But I want to try and improve the general performance of my game on the Xbox Series S.
Currently, when I fly, I have live weather and live traffic, that’s it. I frequently notice I drop frames and lag, and 9/10 I get all my screens in the aircraft going black on an approach.
An example of my most recent flight, Helsinki to Schiopol in the LVFR A321, upon departure i had lag and lost frames, on arrival, all my screens went black and I had A LOT of lag.
I’ve also noticed in recent months, ground textures look absolutely horrific, with things being 2D and pixaly, I will try to attach a photo!
Does anyone have any settings recommended for the Xbox Series S, that makes the game run smoothly, whether it be in game or on xbox. Any advice or tips is greatly appreciated!

It´s not the addons nor your system. The same happens on PC and on a vanilla setup without addons. I also got game upon launch and at that time it run much better and it also had better visual quality. Up to summer 2022 it run more or less fine in terms of performance but game just went worse over the time, in particular during 2023 as the decided to abbandon it, no matter what they say officially. That´s the crude situation. There are technical problems everytime and a general quality degradation everywhere on all systems.
I´m now at Asobo´s San Francisco apron, with only 30 AIs around and I´m getting 25fps, while in the past even with 100 AIs you could still get 40fps. In addition to that pathetic performance you now get constant CTDs and several seconds freezes both at the cinematics screen after loading the flight (it didn´t happen before) or randomly while flying worldwide.
CTDs, black screens and poor performance can happen on any setup, but they are well known to be much more prevalent on Xbox, especially Series S, when using addon products.
Believe what you want. The forum is full of posts where people explains that SU13 crashes and has the same bad performance on PC or Xbox setups without addons. Game even crashes during installation, so imagine…
I’m not “believing” anything. This is well-documented here in the forums and by the developers themselves. Again, the sim can perform poorly on any platform, but console has had an especially rough time (partly because of the lack of settings flexibility).
