That’s exactly what I thought… for a $300 machine that looks incredible. Let’s just hope the video is really from the S… (that’s the pessimist in me!) … kinda looks too good to be true!
It looks awful from very close up, is performance hungry and I happen to be utterly fascinated by the autogenerated buildings. I just love’em. I even make screenshots in every country about the differences of autogen buildings.
Thanks for the info… there seem to be quite a few settings options in the XBOX edition, according to some of these preview videos which may allow for these options.
On a side note - the fact that Microsoft is supposedly allowing these preview videos BEFORE the release means that they are very happy and confident with the XBOX performance of MSFS2020. I remember Cyberpunk… reviewers weren’t even allowed to use their own game footage after release!
A Console basically gives it’s CPU’s, GPU and other hardware all resources because it doesn’t have a real OS like Windows with lots of background tasks…
Wonder if we’ll get some previews from some of the You tubers who previewed FS2020 before the PC launch and whether there will be any mention of lags or stutters?
Anyway, I think it is great that they are even managing to get it running on console. It must have been a bit of a challenge
Absolutely true. There’s been a trend in recent times to hold embargo until launch day. Seeing that dropping (even to streamers with pretty small channels) seems to indicate a high level of confidence.
By the way, there’s another Xbox stream at 5.00pm UK time:
Perhaps it didn’t run well enough (yet). London PG is 3x as dense as NY and doesn’t have that many high buildings to obscure the horizon. I can fly smoothly over NY, high speed, long draw distance. Over London I can’t go faster than 110 knots (or terrain falls behind) and it runs at ~15 fps.
So far from what I am seeing , is that the s is a very good console for the money. I’m happy with my only choice to buy the s because I’m not ever gonna give a singe cent to a scalper
