No. As stated, I don’t see this even remotely resembling the SU11 issue.

Tree pop-in doesn’t seem to be much of an issue. It was a non-issue in my first flight in a semi-rural area of CA. In my second flight in the SF Bay Area, the pop-ins weren’t just trees, but other objects/structures/textures. It was a bit difficult to ascertain what, exactly. The scenery seemed very “animated” with the various subtle changes happening pretty regularly. Again, though, what I saw in SF today was something else entirely as compared to what I’m referring to as the SU11 LOD issue.

I’m going to spend some more time on it tomorrow.

Same. I am done flying for today. I got different results at different times when I flew. The second round of flights was better. I am suspecting many of us encountered slow servers, but I saw what I recognize as close LOD pop in, especially in my first round of flights.

Anyway, the SU11 LOD issue was reproducible by everyone on Xbox. That people are having different experiences, people I trust to know what symptoms to look for, leads me to believe this is not the same, and it might not be related to the update at all.

We have all seen the servers have bad days, then work fine the next. I am hoping this is something like that.

Really weird stuff though, and especially during my first round of flights, it was quite reminiscent of the LOD issues we saw with SU11.

In any case, I am convinced people who reported issues earlier today were in fact having issues. I just can’t for the life of me figure out the source as of yet.

Hope the devs can reproduce and fix, or the servers work better tomorrow.

This one is weird. But not game breaking.

I think this may have been a contributor. I had very slow ATC responses from “me” to ATC when I’d send a response. I’d press my appropriate key binding and there’d be a significant delay before I’d hear my voice.

Something was definitely off.

I’m an Xbox Series S. I’m having the same problem. Unfortunately, they haven’t fixed it yet. After gaining some altitude, there’s a sharp drop in texture quality. It’s a big disappointment.

Did you try deleting your rolling cache and restarting the game?

@smiffyninja If you’re asking me, I’ve tried everything that can be done. Beyond resetting the rolling cache, I’ve deleted and reinstalled FS 2020, reset the console to factory settings, reset the modem, tested FS on all available servers, deleted and reinstalled world updates in case they could be the cause, but the result is the same. This is not a problem caused by me. There are many users with the same problem. Unfortunately they ruined the simulation with SU11.

Because what you posted does look a lot like the SU11 build.

This one is weird. I was able to reproduce graphics issues earlier. But then later when I flew again, things were better but there were still oddities.

Others have not been able to reproduce. People who have been dealing with LOD and texture issues since they popped up in the beta back in like October/November. So they would know what to look for.

My best guess at this point, but I have no solid proof yet, is the servers have been extra grumpy lately and we are being sent low quality data, as I have seen a LOT of things I would typically attribute to server issues.

The SU11 LOD thing was reproducible by everyone with a console, and threads about it in here BLEW up, so I am not convinced that is what we are dealing with this time.

But I have definitely seen some low quality weirdness today!

I hope this is server related as those issues tend to be fixable without a patch and we might just wake up to a better experience tomorrow.

This downgrade issue is really easy to reproduce. Start on a parking space, switch to drone camera, gain some altitude. You will see a dramatic change in terrain LOD and it occurs every time you pass a fixed altitude, the ground turns to blurry water painting.

I’m afraid it has nothing to do with servers, it’s hard coded in the current veta version.

Admittedly, I was not in drone mode, I was using a F-35 in hover mode, external view. I could not reproduce the glitch.

Will try again tomorrow in drone mode.

Problem we talking about was there not only yesterday but also one week ago. If you flying at 7000, 10 000 or 30 000 ft then most likely you will be not able to see it.

XBOX series X, Beta build:

I’d really appreciate some of you to try to fly in the France Limoux (LFUC airport) town area along the river from south to north and back again say between 1000-2000 feet and see if you can recreate they dire tile loading. It’s really distracting from otherwise decent scenery. I fly south from Carcassone LFMK but appreciate that people may feel that’s too long..

You could use any plane, I’ve tried the now default Beaver and the Cessna 404. But either give me the poor streaming.

I’ve posted about this and have replicated it a few times.

I personally feel we can’t just dismiss this as “oh there were a bunch of us on yesterday so that’s why it’s slow” as i can replicate it anytime I want

I’m not convinced servers are the cause either. This issue has been creeping back in slowly for a week or two on beta. Mine is now very similar to the LOD issues experienced before the beta after the release of the horrid update 11 we console users were all unfortunately subjected to.
The concern now is that the update we are all holding our breath for is surely imminent. They released SU11 with those on beta at THAT time reporting issues that looked as bad as what we are now witnessing. Surely they can’t release another update like this? I’m probably jumping the gun here a little but we have all been very patient waiting two months for this fix.
Beta was fantastic only a couple weeks ago. I can’t say I’m confident that they can get this right.
