XBOX360 Controller Sensitivity Overstresses Plane

I have been playing FS2020 with Keyboard for awhile and it was said that it’s a much better experience using even a controller. However, when I use my XBOX360 controller the sensitivity is out of control.

I set the sensitivity settings to -95% on all axis which helps with the roll but when adjusting pitch the aircraft swings up and down. After takeoff, I can be in the air for maybe 30 seconds before the bouncing crashes my plane.

How do I set this up so I can use the controls? And is there a way to freeze the yoke position like with keyboard?

The XBOX360 Controllers dont really work in this game. The rudders dont work on the controller either. Asobo deliberately does not want to fix the broken XBOX controller because it wants to sell peripherals (they get money from the manufacturers for that).

I hope for you that you didnt buy the game and just bought game pass. Otherwise you need spend a couple hundred more for a decent rig with yoke an rudders to make the game worth it.

I’m flying with XBOX controller, and have no problems.
Only thing I had to adjust, was the deadzone not to be too sensitive.

And of course I reassigned all the buttons to serve my needs better.

You mean your rudders work? For me and many others if you put in 50% rudder the rudder jerks between full and no rudder, it cannot go smoothly inbetween.
Completly unplayable on takeoff an landing

EDIT: Also, there is no sensitivity setting for the rudders in MSFS, so MSFS does even recognise the trigger buttons as an axis

THAT is true, and no, it doesn’t work for me properly either, BUT I can fly with it.

You can also push the both buttons same time, and then loosen the other one for it to work smoothly.
That is not the pleasant way to use it, but it works…

Its an easy thing to fix, and I think a company which can simulate the whole world can implement the controller of their publisher. So why do they choose not to …

I’m sure Asobo said recently they are working on the inputs from the Xbox controller.

Let’s face it, if it releases on Xbox in its current state not many people are going to stick around.

But yes they do feel extremely sensitive and not that well optimised. I’ve found there wasn’t much I could do.

But I do also accept that by their very nature a controller has much shorter throw on each axis vs a dedicated controller.

Make sure you report it on Zendesk if you want to show you care about this issue.

Yes it should be fixed as soon as possible, but I’ll fly with my controller anyways…
