Today I’m trying to install MSFS 2020, but the installation gets to points where it keeps decompressing endlessly, and I have to force a restart to start another part of the installation. When it reaches 100% again, I repeat the same process. It seems Microsoft wants us to abandon MSFS 2020 and move on to MSFS 2024. My internet is stable, with no packet loss, and I disabled my antivirus (Kaspersky).
I also get this issue. They keep saying “We can’t do anything, the system’s on Xbox’s side.“ no compromised game version that I can play on either. It really does seem like they want us to migrate to MSFS 2024
Moved to User Support Hub that is more appropriate for community support.
@FrontCarp6780 : are you also under xcloud as OP (as per the xcloud tag)?
Have tested with your antivirus disabled (if any) ?
Yes. I use XCloud, same as OP.
Yes. I use XCloud, same as OP. I do not have any antivirus installed. Except of course the default Windows 10 antivirus which can’t be disabled. I do use VPN when I’m accessing XCloud if that helps.
Any chance to try without VPN ?
Not really. I live in a country that doesn’t support XCloud. So I’m forced to use VPN if I want to use XCloud.
Hopefully some users will be able to provide some help, if not I would recommend is to create a zendesk ticket to get direct support from Microsoft team: https://flightsimulator.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Yeah well, those guys over at the Zendesk support portal told me they can’t do anything because “XCloud is on Xbox’s side.” Oh well, guess I won’t be playing for a long time.
