ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
The Xcub has a variable pitch propeller, but the rpm is changing depending on airspeed just like a fixed pitch propeller. It also tends to overspeed above 2700 rpm.

If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:
Xcub

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
Yes

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Set Prop to Max
  2. Increase speed and observe the rpm increasing
  3. Decrease speed and the prop rpm will decrease

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• Yes.

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• The X Cub’s propeller in MSFS2024 is not acting like a constant speed propeller. When advancing full throttle, the propeller should reach its maximum RPM, and RPM should not increase as airspeed increases.

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• Yes

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• Prop not behaving like a constant speed prop. RPM is limited when parked, and can only be increased beyond 1900 RPM by increasing airspeed. Prop RPM increases and decreases with airspeed.

• Yes.

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• As I was climbing to fly over a large hill (under 2500 ft) in the UK, I watched my RPMs dropping steadily as I slowed in the climb and didn’t have enough to even clear the hill with full throttle, crashed.

• Yes.

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• In 9 out of 10 attempts I am not able to take off with the xCub. Engine shows full throttle. However rpm only ramps up to 1100 and then immediatly falls down to 1018 rpm where it stays. In 1 out of 10 attemps the rpm behave like expected.
