Morning all, sorry for all these questions but I am struggling with this and probably my lack of understanding.
I have asked about these pesky pedals before specifically about the sensitivity and had a variety of really useful replies ranging from decreasing the sensitivity to -78 to leaving them as default and have been experimenting with them but not really having a lot of success.
While experimenting with the settings I noticed that the dead zone is in the centre of the guide but the pedals slide from one end to the other on the guide (left or right pedal) so in essence the dead zone is actually taking affect when the pedal is half way down its travel, surely that can’t be right?
I keep tweaking the sensitivity but I seem to go from leaving it at default which seems super sensitive, only a small movement in the air causes a massive dip and whipping effect in flight, reducing lessens the effect but feels somehow disconnected and I have no idea how sensitive say a Cessna is to these pedal inputs, is the real plane this sensitive or is there a setting that fairly closely emulates the real world?
It also appears that once in the air, looking at the slip gauge it hardly moves in turns anyway so does this mean I don’t even need to use pedals in the air at all?
Final point, I haven’t installed any of the Logitech software as I was advised not to and use the configuration in Flight Sim, is that still the best option or would there be any benefit in installing it?
Thanks for all your help.
