You don't see this everyday

A wonderful Cessna 172, parked at a Gate at KORD, waiting I suppose for the gate to come down and he can board his passengers…

That’s just how the 737 pilot rolls. No cars for them.

I was flying Reno to Harry Reid the other day and while loading pax in Reno, there were two F22 Raptors at the neighboring gates. I guess the air force needs pax traffic to support the cost of fuel and maintenance…

I had the Concorde parked in the GA section of Salzburg. I guess it came by train.

No more passenger queues when this guy is on duty :sunglasses:

When I was at Delta, I use commute to CVG in my Cessna 310R. However, it was parked at the FBO not at a gate.

You really know how to make a man jealous, dontcha? I almost bought a 310 back in the late '90s, and it was dirt cheap… Like $30k.

But then my head remembered my last annual and did some math… two engines… double the fuel… double the (quite unnecessary if you ask me) annual inspection price, if not more… and passed. Especially when I considered that the urban legend about the second engine on a light piston twin only exists “to fly you to the scene of the accident”.

There are large hub airports where you will see things like this. It usually involves customs clearance and the fact that the airport in question has a large customs clearance facility built into a terminal, thus DHS has no desire to maintain a customs presence at an FBO as well. So, GA aircraft (with pre-arrangement) will deplane at a terminal gate, so pax (and often, pilot) can enter the terminal and feed into customs.
