Yes but with respect this isn’t about what they can do, it’s about what they should do.
Hope you are right.
This is NOT a GAMESPASS PRICE - Please Look at the screenshot! I dont have Gamespass. Either way that is irrelevant.
my point being that it is a bit off. Nuff said. Made slightly unbearabl by having to reinstall the entire thing (not my choice), after pressing PLAY on the MS Store page to try & lose the dratted Insert Game Disc Error.
I guess I shouldn’t complain though, After all, I got to pay £22 extra by prepaying to support the impoverished MS Corp, and also get to look at a download screen with 95.79GB left to go, and the possible prospect of having to reinstall Windows 10 because MS Windows & MSFS haven’t been tested together with the latest Windows update. if this doesn’t fix it - JOY.
I think I’ll go blow some sh1t up in DCS for a bit… except I can’t, because MSFSs GUI is using 70% of my GFX processing power. . OH and that was a joke - it is only using about 10%
This isn’t a Game Pass price??
And when you press Buy to Own? Seem everything is still (deliberately?) written unclear.
No one in their right mind would press that button
The price eventually comes down on all video games. It’s nothing new for gaming industry
Nonsense post again.
To the one who did not like my post and hid it No sense (irrelevant) = nonsense (check dictionary)
But surely if this is the case it stinks a bit? I get price reductions on stable usable games… eventually, but this??!
This “compare editions” page shows the prices for game pass subscribers. It just doesn’t state that in that compare table but if you scroll up, it’s made clear.
By the way, I paid 105€ late August for the Retail disk version, there are always discounts somewhere. Deal with it.
lololollol I had a similar discussion yesterday… almost exactly the same and my conclusion
The way microsoft set this up for sales is confusing as hell…
It seems clear to me… The price is this much. You can save x% if you sign up for this subscription. Not a member yet? Sign up here!
If you have Game Pass you can save money when you purchase select titles, not just MSFS. If you don’t have Game Pass you can sign up or pay full price.
It isn’t. It’s just the game pass discount.
It does seem a bit early, especially for a niche genre. However, it’s not super rare for aaa games, especially those with disappointing results (in the sales dept as compared to their internal projections), to reduce it within one to two months. Is Microsoft going to treat this as a niche genre or mainstream with their pricing strategy?
It does stink to know you could have waited 1.5 months for a good discount but you did get 1.5 months with the product already.
Pretty normal in business, likely marked down as buyers drop away
I remember seeing an incentive on some sites for 10% off within a month of the release. It was for a couple days only. Now Microsoft store is offering 20% for game pass subscribers, which is a no brainer for the intro price of $1/month.
If you have Game Pass, and you now buy Premium Deluxe at discount price, you’ll get the full game even if you cancel your Game Pass.
That is how it works now.
Period
It’s amazing how some posters do not know the difference between facts and speculation but will regard speculation as being facts as long as they can then knock MS or the product. No sense or nonsense (check dictionary).
Yes but sadly the 1.5 months have been
48 hours logged flying much of which has been fighting buggy aircraft to keep them from crashing
Less than ten full flights completed with landings due to CTDs
Many hours spent on the forums looking for fixes to basic issues and talking to Xbox agents about installation issues
Many hours in the weeds of the sim which is neither fun for me, nor effective in the end
Large amounts of stress, anger and upset punctuated occasionally by a few moments of joy.
With hindsight I would have paid less than half what I did. It irks me to think that I jumped in and wasted good money on something which has not on balance added anything to my life and may now be reduced quickly in price.
I think this is an understandable reaction I the circumstances?
Still hoping it will improve but it that doesn’t change the reality.
