Your Current TOP 10 Aircraft (Part 2)

Very good points. I guess the bugs really do undermine what would otherwise be a well-designed career mode, in which case the lock-down does make sense to take advantage of those features and minimize “false-positive” bug reports.

It’s frustrating, for sure - and I am reaching my limit as well. I’ve a few “must have” fixes that I’ve set my own internal ultimatum of SU7 final release, and if I haven’t seen significant progress in those areas I’ll likely be starting a free trial of OnAir.

There are far too many aircraft on the top 10 list that are not, and will never be, Career compatible that I’m just neglecting otherwise.

See how I brought it back on topic?

my top tens usually highlight the medium to regional sized aircraft because my three local airports I use IRL are (KROC) a medium sized Buffalo (KBUF) because frontier stopped flying to Rochester and the third airport i use is Williamson Sodus (KSDC) which is our local GA field, so I tend to operate out of those three the most in fs2024 which is why my top 10’s are usually regional and mid size aircraft, and I’m thinking what is the top ten aircraft I can operate out of my home airports in the sim

This kind of raised a question in my mind: which Top 10 airports do the majority of this thread’s contributors fly out of/into most frequently?
@Baracus250, would it be difficult to add something like this to your thread or is it just something that doesn’t really matter much to anyone else?

I won’t do it on this thread, and actually I did start a topic about this years ago, which looking now seems to have been hijacked by someone else as first poster since Jayne merged the posts or something… never noticed before but yes, I did start this, and it didn’t really get that much traction so maybe it doesn’t matter. Your TOP Airport Addons - #19 by Baracus250

I would point you all to @AirRhodessa AWESOME and EXPANDING resource for this kind of thing though… maybe he will have to add airports next!

Very interesting. I never saw those sites before.
Thank you, Baracus!

I won’t say I will, but also I won’t say I won’t, so will see what the next City Update brings and if I have the time I might or might not. Will see

(10 lols)

Although the Fenix has dropped a few places this year I still find it commendable that it’s solidly in the top 10 bearing in mind that it’s inaccessible to Xbox & Playstation users. Also I would imagine console user numbers have increased over the last year.

Not too many bush trips this month. The new Blacksquare Commander 114 is really good. So replaced the Wilga by the 114.

BTW the new version of the Quasar is impressive.

August 2026

After a long absence from the sim and the forum…

  1. Blackbird PC-6 Porter
  2. Blackbox L-19 Bird Dog
  3. Flyboy Simulations S6S Coyote II
  4. Classic Aircraft Simulation J3 Cub

In order of use, mostly flying from back country strips, no ATC, no flight plan, just fun flying.

Welcome back!!

No changes for me

August list

1 Blacksquare Commander 114

2 Fenix A320

3 Fenix A321

4 Fenix A319

5 iFly 737

6 PMDG 737-800

7 FlighFX C750

Might be OT, but whats so unique (if it is) with the Commander? I own the A2A Comanche as well as the BlackSquare Baron and Bonanza. What makes this single prop stick out? =) Thx. =)

Hi and thanks for your list. Just letting you know the A321/319 expansion is a single entry but seeing as you only have 7, I just left it that you only used ) slots. So basically you have 4 more if you want for future updates.

Oh, you opened my eyes for some models I have not even looked at. Thx!

It’s not massively different really, just has a really nice feel all together, some nice features and unique navigation options, really awesome sounds, and little touches like the brake judder that happens in the last bit of stopping after landing. The whole package is just quality all through. I like the look of it too. Seen too many Bonanzas through the lame 2020 and early 2024 model matching to last me a lifetime!

I’d say other than in ground handling / transition and the exact way A2A have done the per cylinder engine simulation, this is pretty darn close. Great plane with obviously a lot of cross-over to others but in the grand scheme of things in life it’s not expensive so live life!!

No changes for me. While I’ve been flying, it’s mainly been to test further development of my first community add-on (shameless plug).

I hate LODs with a vengeance now :joy:

@Baracus250 you’ll never guess what I just bought. Thanks for the tip off :joy:
