Yup, same as the NX-cub.

Bought the kodiak today, because it was in nice discount. I think i need to replace the twotter with the kodiak on short notice…
That would be the fastest list change for me so far :joy:

Oooh breaking the rules on day one?! Hahaha, no worries I’ll toggle the switch for you and turn a blind eye… this time!!

Dont worry. Wont brake rules, change it that quick. I will wait at least 1 more month and see whats comming along as well.

I’ve done it now. Let me know before Feb if you want to change back to Twotter, but I doubt you will

Just went on a scenic two hour flight with my new Wilga to Great Bear Lake in the Northern twilight. After a little while I had her spot on under control and she just felt fantastic all the way. What a nice one this is!

Felt right at home with skis mounted and a cargo full of Super-Important-Stuff-That-Needed-To-Be-Shipped-To-The-Outpost-In-The-Dead-Of-Winter TM

010 0005:21 = PZL-104 Wilga 35/80 Series [Got Friends]

Happy with that on my Hours counter on day two with the Willy.

Thanks again @Baracus250 for getting me to pull the trigger on this one. Anyone else currently holding off on the purchase: don’t! It’s awsome!

Sounds atmospheric! I flew over the Mojave desert as it was getting dark, and it gets dark rather suddenly at this time of year but it was majestic! Guess you’re not really allowed to fly this thing at night in real life, but it was rather satisfying to arrive at the airfield with only some small town lights, 1 road and the silhouettes of desert dunes and mountains to guide me. Was a relief to get it down at the unlit airstrip. I think 30 mins more travel and it would have been too dark to see.

I’m glad you agree! I hope marketplace approves it soon as I’m sure we will see it rocket up the charts.

Oooh, I haven’t even tried that yet! I know what I’m doing tomorrow now, thanks!

Yeah man that goulash is super important for the locals to not starve! You’re doing a good service

Haha awesome, I was about the same. Into 7th place I think after the first weekend with her. I posted above about it with my Hobbs app data output, will try and find it

It’s in 3rd place now, likely to be 2nd tomorrow!

No worries! I’m always a bit nervous recommending stuff as it’s costing someone some money and they may not feel the way I do, but I am very confident in this one. Assuming one likes small STOL planes in the first place, there’s no way anyone could be disappointed.

EDIT: @Hayray79 found that Hobbs post, it was 9th, not 7th. Your Current TOP 10 Aircraft - #2562 by Baracus250

Hear, hear! And for those of us who like to do some roleplaying/immersion it offers a decent amount of utility on top of the STOL performance. Sort of a backwater-do-it-all-truck.

I’d say the Willy, Beaver, and PC-6 have a similar appeal, just at different ends of the spectrum. The Wilga would be the smallest one that might reasonably be called a ā€œworkingā€ airplane, the Beaver is the next step up in size and capability, and the PC-6 is the top dog of the group that costs a heck of a lot more, but can go higher and carry larger loads. (?) But aside from that each of them gets a clear pass as a workhorse.

We’re really beginning to be spoiled for choice with good aircraft in this sim. It will be most exciting to see what gets published this year. Too bad one can’t fly more than one plane at a time!

The Islander is great too and definitely a rugged workhorse.

Wondering what their next Shorts 330 will be like for a BIIIIGGG Ugly Workhorse. Not really my cup of tea (doesn’t look too manoeuvrable, I don’t mind the ugly design though!) but I’ll probably bite anyway

Gotta throw the Kodiak in this bunch too. The PAC P-750 is neat as well, but hasn’t quite got the same appeal.

Wow mate! This is above and beyond amazing, great job! Your dedication and effort and time and thought put into this project (and your other projects) makes you an absolute legend!

Keep up the great work in 2023!

 Thanks for that mate! But I’m only doing a bit of reading and pressing a few buttons in a spreadsheet!

It’s the stuff that YOU do, for free, and the many other freeware developers, that actually give us all fun stuff to do and new experiences in our sim. Not to mention the supremely talented third party devs of the planes we’re all voting for… they are the real stars of the show!

Let’s not forget Asobo and MS that have even given this amazing platform for this all to happen around!

I’d love to get into a bit of scenery development but I fear my time would be swallowed up. I kind of do that as a day job so this is my relief and escape from that to relax. Don’t want my hobby to start feeling like a job of work (done that before in my online sim racing days where I was part of a team, with expectations and pressure and set practice times and weekly league races… fun but it’s a serious kind of fun and gets in the way of it just being a hobby-fun activity).

Anyway I suppose we all bring our thing and that’s what makes the flight sim community a special thing to be a part of. Long May it continue!!

This would work  …at least you’ll be heading in the same direction so may not be too confusing

…or did you know since Sim Update 11, you can play the older MSFS games INSIDE the DA62? Looks like you could fly THREE planes at the same time here

(I think 2 though, as that screen is mirrored!)

Can you play on Xbox and PC at the same time with your copy ? If so you can put your CRJ on autopilot on the XBox while messing about in the Wilga on PC.

@Baracus250 - You’ve got me seriously considering the Wilga. I’m assuming I’ve missed whatever (if any) sale it’s been on before the end of the year?

The Wilga has only just been released. It is not even on the Marketplace yet, it is only available from the devs at the moment. There has been no time for any sales.

Superb- brilliant infographic, thank you very much for your hard work ….I for one am very grateful and this is my favourite section of the forum by a very long way..

I updated my top 10, and must conclude that the twotter definitively renounced its spot to the Kodiak.
for a more extensive explanation, see review…
Thanks for your foregiveness

Yeah no sales it only just came out. Unless you also want/need it on Xbox, I encourage you to just go for it. It’s really bloomin’ good
