Here’s my March list, largely unchanged except that the ATR is out and the Monster NX Cub in (have been flying it in anticipation of the new GPS to come with SU15), and for the A320 I’ve switched back from FBW to Fenix. In fact most of the past month has been spent in the Fenix after the great Block 2 release, and in the A300 that Ini keep improving on an almost weekly basis. Broken up with less planned casual flying in the Bird Dog, Transall, Islander, NX Cub and the Lightning (which also received an update). It is great to see that the top tier developers keep releasing FREE updates of such outstanding quality, and a major chunk of April will go towards flying the BAe146 as Just Flight have once again hit it out of the park. The Comanche has taken a backseat because I fly it almost exclusively in the south of England, and I am waiting for SU15 to fix the ground textures bleed through bug on the many (mostly Burning Blue) airfields I have there.

Don’t forget you can also now vote and see a separate list of FREEWARE ONLY AIRCRAFT here:

…if you have not yet voted there, please go ahead and add your favourite in this topic!

:speech_balloon: ====== MY SUMMARY ====== :speech_balloon:
The Comanche (unsurprisingly) continues it’s dominance (and actually increases) monthly votes and the FSR500 and Cows DA42 made a good showing for the month. Randomly the biggest increase since last month is the Carenado C182RG II. Otherwise it seems to be settling down a bit. Sad to see Wilma dropping so much this month!

There were 7 new aircraft mentioned this month, highest entry being the Miltech Simulations Boeing CH47D Chinook in 50th place:

Developer Aircraft
Miltech Simulations Boeing CH47D Chinook
iniBuilds Airbus A320neo (V2)
Carenado Piper PA28R-201 Arrow III
Flying Fries Hughes XF-11
TFDi McDonnell Douglas MD-11
iniBuilds / Microsoft Bell 47J Ranger
Flight Replicas de Havilland DH.82 Fox Moth

…interestingly the Chinook won in my other new topic about ONLY helicopters, if anyone is interested in voting there too? VOTE: Your TOP 10 Favorite Helicopters (& Other Rotorcraft)

Big Thanks to everyone that has been voting and reading here

FINAL NOTE: The next Chart Update will be done on 28th April as that is probably the nearest Sunday to the end of the month.

I keep thinking of grabbing the 414 now it’s on sale, but the other part of me says to wait for the Duke.

I bought the 414 and its very nice, but I find I still tend to fly the c310 or BS Baron as I am more familiar with them.

Overall though I tend to not really fly any of the twins lately. Comanche, Wilga and BS TBM850 are my main go-to aircraft.

I might have to commit a bit more time to learning the ropes of the 414.

Finally but the bullet and have only been flying A2A!

  1. A2A (I’ve been only flying this) as my wife bought me a Steamdeck and I have been busy playing other games

  2. Wilma - she is always my favorite

  3. Islander

  4. Kodiak

  5. Zenith 701

  6. Caproni-Vizolla C22j - such an amazing plane for being so old and cheap.

  7. RS Reborn Sting S4

  8. Asobo f18 - when I have the need for speed (I never learned how to properly fly airliners or jets, so never needed good accuracy/fidelity)

  9. DHC-2 Beaver

Plane removed from the list:
DoubleEnder - I don’t know why but this plane never did it for me. I feel it’s missing some of the dirt and danger of the other gotfriends planes (maybe it’s the high frequency engine noise that turned me off). Open to change my mind!

Wish List:
C310 and the Duke if it ever makes it to XBox

To be fair I have so many freaking aircraft now that I’m not sure I’ll ever get my moneys worth from all of them, lol. I should probably hold off. No doubt I’ll grab the Duke though.

I’ve learned my lesson this sale though. Quit with buying the cheap aircraft. Quality over quantity. You pay for what you get (a few exceptions).

Lot of changes to my top 10 when compared to last month as I’ve acquired 1) a lot of new airplanes and 2) a Virtual Fly TQ6+ throttle. :grinning:

Probably a lot of recency bias here.

  1. PZL 104 Wilga. Kinda surprised how much I’m enjoying this. I pretty much got a bit more serious with MSFS when I focused on airliners, specifically, the PMDG 737 and Fenix A320. So I held off on the Wilga. But right now she’s taking all my flight time. The views from the cockpit are spectacular. The sounds are amazing. She’s very wonky on take-off and landing, and slow as a turtle, but just enjoying STOL and bush stuff right now. Has put the Kodiak in the hanger. I’m currently putting together an airport ranking spreadsheet and she’s my go to plane to scouts the various airports I’ve visited.

  2. Black Square King Air 350 Gauge. With the TQ6+ throttle I’ve been eager to fly twin engine planes and the King Air 350 has been great. First flew the default plane and saw the potential, so picked up the Black Square as just happy with what they produce. This thing is fast, and very easy to land (almost too easy?).

  3. Black Square TBM 850. I may end up owning everything Black Square creates. What a fun plane. Fast, looks good in and out. Lot of YouTube videos on it (real and sim). When I want a break from the Wilga or KA 350 I always find myself back to the TBM. My only complaint? Kinda hard to see out of her when flying (I even notice real world pilots of the TBM on YouTube adjusting because of the views in the cockpit).

  4. Fenix A320. The top 3 getting most of the time right now, but the A320 is still amazing and gives me my airliner fix when I want it.

  5. PMDG 737-800. I need to get back to the PMDG. I still kinda struggle with her systems as I’m not spending enough time flying her.

  6. Cessna 414A. This might be a top 3 aircraft for me, but I’m having issues with her in that I’m getting loss of power spikes after 10K feet or so and not sure what is going on. Been adjusting mixture, prop and throttle. Adjusting pressurization. Changing bindings to see if I have a conflict somewhere. Even went on the discrord to get help. I’d fly her more but for now in the hangar until I figure out what is going on. A great plane and I miss flying her regularly.

  7. BAe 146. Just waiting for V2 to drop. Her avionic and high maintenance keeps her in the hangar, but I appreciate the complexity (just can’t use her with real world obligations). I have a feeling she’ll get a lot of flight time when V2 comes out.

  8. Comanche. Not my consensus #1 like for most people. But still an amazing plane. I have too many planes and not enough time; so she gets left in the hangar a bit. Great sound, feels authentic, etc.

  9. Kodiak 100. The Wilga has caused the Kodiak to go from a top 3 aircraft to number 9. I like the Kodiak, and her role will likely be a bush plane where I want more sophisticated avionics when compared to the Wilga. But a great looking plane. This weekend I drove by KRNT in real life and saw a new looking Kodiak parked and I gasped in glee. The Kodiak has that type of impact on me.

  10. FSR 500. No flight time as kinda the same mission as the TBM 850. But I’ll get back to her.

Planes II have my eyes on - Leonardo Mad Dag and the PMDG 777. I still have the Heatblur F14 on my computer but have yet to fly her. Thinking I’d like to pick up an entry level Cessna or the Bonanza…

Agreed. The only exception I would make to that is the rare keen new developer that is putting in a big effort. I do not mind spending a few dollars just as a vote of support.

Yes, particularly when you take the doors off

For me the kodiak comes out when I need to fly above 10,000 feet . The Wilga runs out of puff at very high altitudes.

If you don’t already have them both the 152 JPL Logistics mod and Reims Rocket give you a payware level experience for free.

I’m completely the opposite. The longer I have it and more time and effort I put in with it the more I’m falling in love. Completely guilty of not ever managing to get it fully in to my top ten which I’m hoping will change.

You do know it has 128 layers of dynamic dirt? Wear and tear, failures and workshop repair. Plus noise cancelling (or noise reduction) headphones.

Just writing that is making me want to jump back in right now :joy:

The DoubleEnder is great, but it is a very modern feeling bush plane. I kind of get what they are saying. But that view is amazing and it can take off and land on a dime. The other day I visited the top of a 9000ft (ASL) volcano, and the 40kt wind up there let me basically hover around like a chopper with full flaps lol.

One of the few examples of a high quality aircraft for a really low price would have been the Boeing 247D by Wing42. Unfortunately the developer abandoned the aircraft right after release and therefore I can not recommend it. It’s unfortunate because it’s such an amazing aircraft and the level of detail is on another level.

Your 9 and 10 are the same thing here as it’s part of the same purchase (e-Jets series) so do you want to pick 1 more?

You did actually list the Comanche last time though, right? And you only want 9 now? No more MB-339 or Long-EZ?
