Anyone else having an issue where the referee keeps yelling “You’re to high”?

Yeah, my time trial also always starts off with “too High”. I just ignore and carry on and make sure I get to proper altitude without penalty.
The HUD in VR is annoying though with it quite often being right in front of your face. The suggested work around being to pop out of VR then back in being tedious to say the least. Sometimes when I do that it works and other times the HUD is completely gone afterwards never to return.
I get that as well, but have only tried the time trials. Either way it seems to be a bug.
It does not do it in a Race…

It happens to me in both trials and race. It absolutely sucks coming in last because of penalties that aren’t my fault.
No idea what I’m talking about, but have you tried to press ‘B’ (or maybe you have) to calibrate the altimeter. Never really know what it’s looking at…

I also have encountered this. It seems to be plane or race related, perhaps? I don’t get this for the jet class, just the other three. Only in Time Trial.
Yes. That was actually the first thing I did when I got yelled at.
At that point I was already flying below the pylons kicking up dust and cutting grass.
If the MSFS Reno Racing was a Formula 1 Car Race Game, it would probably look like this, and everyone there would be bumping into each other as well, with only minor consequences.
There is NO WAY you are going to correctly simulate Reno Planes crashing into each other, nor would one want to. As it is, it is probably about the best “IMMERSION” you are going to get, considering its only a GAME, and few, if any, Playing have any real world Airplane racing experience.
Maybe, just have FUN, and don’t take it so seriously, like those driving around in these cars, with great big smiles on their faces.

Right . I was in a race starting behind you and 2 planes pulled up into me . so of course, I got bumped 2 places. then I got the " Lost Connection" warning and that was the end of my race. there are no connection problems on my end …
this happens 3out of 4 race attempts. by the way , your fast!
I’m having crazy control problems with my X52 after the latest update too.
I often get the “lost Connection” message as well, plus other strange thing happening that I cannot explain.
The race system is released, and if it worked 100% of the time , correctly, there would be no need for player to know HOW it worked, it just Works.
But when it does NOT work, and messages pop up like “You have Lost Connection”, then, it would be a big advantage, and far less Frustrating if we knew what was happening, or at least meant to be happening.
A reasonably detailed Technical description on how the system is meant to work, would be helpful.
ie When one gets a “Lost Connection” message, what exactly does that imply. ?
My PC was the one that caused the Loss of connection, or someone I was connected to, dropped the connection. ?
Are we connecting to Lobbies, that are servers, or is one player getting designated as the Joining server (Lobby), and every joins them in a Peer-Peer way, like in FSX MP ?
The bottom line is, if I get the “lost Connection” message, is it something wrong with
- My PC
- Someone else’s PC in the Lobby
- The MSFS server ?
#1 is the only thing I can try to do anything to correct, and I am wasting my time, trying to diagnose my PC, if it’s 2 or 3 .
Personally, I have had enough wasting my time with this, if it is not working.
I’ll find something more productive and FUN to do, until Asobo fixes the issue.
