Zeppelin NT - Air Valves non-functional

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

The air valves are currently non-functional.

Expected behavior (real aircraft):

The forward and aft air valves are used to release air from the respective ballonets.

Their primary purpose is to reduce ballonet fill level during climbs or in updrafts, keeping the envelope pressure within safe operating limits. They are also used to trim the airship by adjusting buoyancy distribution, allowing the pilot to eliminate continuous elevator input.

Each valve lever has four positions:

  • Closed & Locked
  • Closed
  • Auto
  • Open (spring-loaded)

In normal operation, the valves are left in the Auto position.

In Auto mode:

  • The forward valve automatically opens at 510 Pa and closes at 460 Pa.
  • The aft valves automatically open at 440 Pa and close at 410 Pa.

The Open position is spring-loaded. When held, the valve opens manually to release air. Once released, the lever automatically returns to the Auto position.

Current behavior in the simulator:

The air valves have no effect.

Whether the lever is held in the Open position or left in Auto, the forward and aft ballonet fill levels never decrease. As a result, the valves cannot be used to regulate envelope pressure or trim the airship as they should.
