ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Description of the issue:
The ballonet blowers (fans) are currently non-functional.
Expected behavior (real aircraft):
The forward and aft ballonet blowers are used to pump air into their respective ballonets.
Their primary purpose is to increase ballonet fill during descents, keeping the envelope pressure within safe operating limits. They are also used for trimming the airship by adjusting buoyancy distribution, allowing the pilot to reduce or eliminate continuous elevator input.
Each ballonet blower switch has three positions:
- OFF
- AUTO
- ON
In AUTO mode:
- The blower starts automatically when envelope pressure drops below 400 Pa.
- The blower stops automatically when envelope pressure reaches 460 Pa.
In normal flight, the standard configuration is:
- Forward blower: OFF
- Aft blower: AUTO
However, the pilot may select different settings as required to maintain proper trim.
Current behavior in the simulator:
The ballonet blowers have no effect.
Selecting ON does not increase the corresponding ballonet fill level, and AUTO mode does not automatically control the blowers based on envelope pressure. As a result, the blowers cannot be used to maintain envelope pressure or trim the airship.
