ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Description of the issue:
The fuel transfer logic is implemented incorrectly.
Expected behavior (real aircraft):
Fuel transfer on the Zeppelin NT requires the correct configuration of both the transfer valves and the transfer pump.
To transfer fuel from one tank to another:
- The transfer valve of the supplying tank must be open.
- The transfer valve of the receiving tank must be open.
- The transfer pump of the supplying tank must be switched on.
Only when both transfer valves are open will fuel flow from one tank to the other. Either by gravity (slowly) or by transfer pump (normal rate)
The system is very important to keep the airship in trim.
Current behavior in the simulator:
- Fuel flows from the tank with the transfer pump running into both other tanks, regardless of their transfer valve positions.
- The simulator therefore allows fuel transfer into tanks that should be isolated.
As a result, it is not possible to transfer fuel into just one tank at a time. Fuel management and fuel trim behavior do not match the real Zeppelin NT system.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
Every time on sim load
REPRODUCTION STEPS
Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:
-
Load Zeppelin NT in flight
-
Switch off all transfer pumps and close all transfer valves
-
Open the LH transfer valve
-
Switch on the LH transfer pump
-
Observe both the RH and AFT tank receiving fuel, despite the transfer valves being closed
