  • Great
  • Good
  • Acceptable
  • Poor

:warning: Reminder:

I voted poor for performance purely for the issue with very heavy lag when approaching to land in helicopter missions. I flew four helicopter sight seeing missions tonight with one resulting in a crash because of the lagging, two I aborted so I wouldn’t crash, and only one that did not lag when I approached the runway.

I’ve noticed a significant performance degradation in this build compared to the previous one. Even in the main menu I seem the have lost over 10fps, only getting 70 compared to over 80 previously on a 13900k/4090 system.

yes performance seems not as good

I’m also seeing a decrease in performance of ~ 16% in this build, irrespective of flight conditions or location.

Build: v1.3.10.0

Done a few flights and the performance seems pretty smooth and consistent to me. Its certainly more consistent than I found with the production build, and I haven’t seen anything that looks like the VRAM bug occurring though that was an infrequent occurrence in the production build anyway.
i9-10900K, 32GB RAM, 3080, m2SSD, 1Gbps internet
4K High End settings with DLSS Quality, 30 fps locked, with frame rate target 35

I voted “Poor” because I get a near constant stutter that comes along with audio stuttering. It doesn’t matter if I’m on the ground or in the air.

Ryzen 7 5700X3D, 32GB DDR4, RTX 4070Ti Super, m.2SSD, 1Gbps internet
1440p High End Settings with TAA, no Frame Gen.

I think the performance is solid, though I wouldn’t say it’s any better than the current public build or SU1B1. I primarily fly airliners in Free Flight - getting anywhere from 15 - 40fps on the ground (depending on the A/C and airport) and 40 - 60fps at cruise. Lots of stuttering when I go between External and Internal view though, same as current public build. Only using default a/c, some 3rd party liveries but no other add-ons.

Mix of Med / High settings. Specs for reference:

  • 12600k
  • 3080 10GB
  • 32GB RAM
  • 2k res

I did run into VRAM overflow issue when trying to use an 8k livery, but when using lower res liveries this doesn’t seem to happen, at least as often.

EDIT: After playing the air race in this weeks Challenge League I may have to reconsider my vote, it was a slideshow until I turned everything down to Medium or Low settings - it was using almost 2GB of ‘shared memory’ just for a quick race! Assuming it has something to do with the scenery in the area but definitely a bit disappointing, considering my rig meets or exceeds all the ‘recommended’ specs

I accepted the automatic settings when I first installed the game. Mostly Medium at 1440p.
The game plays fluidly without stutters at default settings. Given my hardware is obsolescent I am content. 5900x, RX6600 8Gb, 32Gb RAM, M2 Drive.

7800x3d + 4090. Latest beta performs worse then the first one. I’m getting quite a few stutters on approach that I was not getting before

Maybe it is just me but I cannot fly the Jets like the FA18 or the T-33 Jet Trainer anymore. After a laggy start the sim crashes mid air. Also the fps go way down. Sometimes it helps going into the windowed mode but it crashes nonethless later.

Funny thing is, that the sim seems to work fine with smaller / slower planes. Maybe I’ve to lower my ultra settings but as a 4090 owner this is a compromise I don’t want to make.

Same here since yesterday the sim has become unplayable. Audio stutters and freezes until ctd.
Tried reinstall, tried non Beta, tried DDU. Nothing changed.

Its acceptable sometimes. 9800x3d 96gig DDR5 6400 ( 2 sticks) 4080 super and installed on gen 4 nvme.
It really depends on where i start at. KLAX is a disaster, so obviously I’ll rate that extremely poor. If i start off in KLGB then it is good. Certain things tend to break randomly, like the camera micro studder. Everything will be working smooth… switch to a different camera and boom! Its like someone has a vibrator on the mouse. Still showing 80+ fps too. Alt-enter doesnt fix it. Also if im going to do 2 legs of flight, theres no way im not going to restart the sim. Even if im showing 100fps that camera micro studder is going to be a detrement. It may have something to do with DLSS, I’m just over trying to track down game ruining bugs.

In the air I’m getting well over 100fps with frame gen and 400TLOD. Big airports, good luck. Just for reference i loaded into terminal 4 in KLAX using TAA no dlss, no frame gen, on medium high optimized settings and 50 TLOD and its literally a slide show. 7 to 15fps. Its not acceptable.

After testing the Beta I was running at around 140-150 FPS then for some reason the sim dropped down to around 43-45 FPS on the last flight I just did. I have never experienced this on the none beta, will have to vote poor on this one.

RTX 4070
i7-12700F
32gb ram
Mix of high and ultra settings

Also noticed performance decrease in the latest build, Ryzen 7 7800x3D, RX 7800 XT, 64gb ddr5 ram at 6000mhz. Previous build had a large increase in fps and less stuttering however the new build has brought a lot of micro stutters, laggy menu, lower fps ( was using AMD afmf 2) for frame gen however I was getting ghosting with that so moved over to lossless scale app which has helped but my fps aren’t getting anywhere near where I was in the previous build, I was getting with FG 120-140 fps now in lucky to make it up to 100. GA aircraft are mostly great minus the micro stutters when VRAM is still way below 16GB, especially when landing. I’m sure these issues will be sorted out eventually. Enjoying the sim regardless but would enjoy flying the larger aircraft without the stuttering or drop in fps.

Same here. I was doing alright before the the latest change. I don’t have stats to back that up, but I guess the best way to describe it is that for most flights, I didn’t notice the stuttering that much. But after the latest update, I get the stutters a lot more and the audio cracking is much more noticeable. I upgraded to the latest NVIDIA driver but still no difference (but no worse either).

I voted this to be poor, my flight simulator was working better without it. I can’t even complete a mission without it crashing.

I voted poor because VR in the Pimax 5K Super is unstable, if you got to the settings or back to 2D and back into VR it becomes a slideshow… It’s very unstable in VR.

Poor. Free Flight isn’t loading in 1.3.10.0 ; wheel keeps stopping to spin when attempting to go into free flight from the world map.

Still have random screen stutter when panning left/right. It isn’t always, but some times. Notice it particularly early in the flight.

Intel Core i7 14th gen.
32GB RAM
RTX 4080
NVMe SSDs.
NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution
DLAA
with DLSS Swapper and DLSS 4 (310.2.1).
The quality is good but TAA is still faster/clearer with Garmin glass.
