[1.6.21.0 Regression] "SHIFT + C to Exit Aircraft" Remove UI

I do use VR and I remain in disagreement. But that’s ok :+1:

Could not agree more with this sentiment. It’s pretty pathetic really.

I’m also a little surprised at how massive this outrage is lmao. I mean, it’s really annoying and I don’t understand how it made it into this update, but it’s not completely game-breaking or something.

While they’re at it, they should also remove the “key hints” that have always and CONSTANTLY been displayed after you’ve left the aircraft and are walking around.

The way to get rid of it is the same as “handlebar mods” make the handlebar not constantly showing on each mouse move etc

i just compared the SU3 and the SU4 Version of that file

(plase note, that the templateid, id changed is normal, thats not the reason)

I think removing the marked “min-max…” blocks is enough…

Does anyone know till when can we expect this to be removed?

Wanted to create a post and just saw this had already been posted. Wow.

The problem is not so much that it’s a feature. The problem is that it should be tied to a toggle so you can remove it if you want. It should be there if and when you want it to

not needed to be seen more than once if has to be in needs a way to disable.

Nearly all of these posts are assuming this was an intentional change. My guess is something totally unrelated was altered that no programmer would ever have believed would have caused this so they didn’t see it in their testing. Anyone that has ever programmed complex code has had this happen. It will get fixed quickly I’m sure but wow the outrage over something like this that is no more than just an annoyance.

What is strange here is that the speed of the aircraft is monitored and then if moving it is disappearing. So looks like special coding for this behavior.

same here pls Asobo remove this Sh*t

Asobo this needs to be removed ASAP !

As always when they Update something … THEY NEED TO PROVIDE a COMPLETE FULL changelog… there is nothing mentioned… there has to be a

  • changed css style in {5D8D140B-0F7E-4213-B2F7-E16727D57DDC}.html to make the center shortcut link bar always be visible while on ground

but as there is nothing mentioned as they think we dont need to know all changed they made… we just can guess… but, changing CSS Style in that file cant be unintentionally… its to specfic.

Nah. As this message wasn’t there before it is obviously added. And as long as they don’t use AI to code the sim, it was a deliberate decision.

And i can undersrand it. MSFS is expecting many new users on console soon, so it makes sense to add some kind of “tutorial mode” to help them get around.

But what is missing is the toggle to deactivate it.

Even us, seemingly lesser, Xbox simmers don’t need or want this.

Asobo seriously ran out of ideas. They should remove this text right now as it is USELESS!!!

Another vote to get rid of this annoying console-inspired “feature”. MSFS is a simulator, not a casual racing game. I’d rather keep SU3 than suffer this…

I have no idea how you figured out that was the file they changed but I just renamed it to {5D8D140B-0F7E-4213-B2F7-E16727D57DDC}.htmlz to disable it, booted up into a flight and the overlay is now gone in both cockpit, external and walkaround views. Brilliant! There must be a way to wrap a dummy version of this file into an addon to update proof it. Of course there might be unintended consequences but I will keep messing about to see if I discover any.

Please remove this nonsense; it’s a bad decision.
