Another one here reporting this issue, burning through fuel super quick. 9.3t on the last 50 minutes. Happened on my last flight as well where I didn’t realise and ended up crashed over Iraq
Thank you for the bug report.
We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged.
I almost found out the hard way why I wasn’t having any fuel consumption issues. I had all inibuilds Airbus’s installed and it turned out that there were updates available for them. So now that I’ve done that, I just went to check on a flight I had in progress in the A20N and I was seconds away from running out of fuel
Same thing happened to me few builds back, I was wondering how I was not having some of the issues reported, and then I remembered that I have it installed locally, lol. I wish I didn’t update, though, they were at least flyable. As it currently stands, these aircraft have been out of commission for at least 2 weeks. Every new build something else gets broken, it’s like 1 step forward, 2 steps back. I really hope they at least get it back to where it was in the next build.
I just experienced this myself with 1.6.27.0, running out of fuel midway on a Simbrief planned flight in the A320.
I did the flight again, this time running a timer and observing the fuel level and despite the fuel flow showing as 1020 kg per engine per hour ie. 2040 kg per hour, fuel was actually being consumed at the rate of 100 kg a minute, which is 6000 kg per hour, so no wonder I ran out.
A330 seems to have been fixed, I just loaded it and watched fuel/tank operation(didn’t fly it), it now correctly uses fuel only from the inner tanks. A320neo and A321LR are still fed from both the outer and inner wing tanks at the same time, which is probably why fuel consumption is still doubled for them. Also, A330 switched from 6.24.0 to 6.26.0 version, A320Neo and 321LR remain 6.24.0, so I guess we wait another week for them.
Despite some fixes on the A330 (can now load fuel from inibuilds EFB), I still got excessive consumption last night on the 6.26.0 version. 50 minute flight was supposed to land with 7T on board but landed with 3T on board having started with 12T
I saw the “silent update” on the A330 and decided to try it, but the reverse did not work even trying to calibrate it. Restarted, still did not worked, so I tried with the A320NEO.
I have the same results, the fuel flow looks ok, but the FOB is being substracted twice. And looks like not only the engines are susbracting doble the fuel, but the APU too.
I loaded the aicraft with 5700kg. After take off and climbing to cruise I checked the TOTAL FUEL BURN: 1400kg and the FOB:2800kg.
So, 2800kg+1400kg+1400kg=5600kg. Short 100kg, probably APU: 50kg + 50kg (was a very short time on APU).
Yeah, I just took off in the A330, it definitely still isn’t fixed, lol. Not even the way tanks should operate is fixed, apparently I didn’t wait enough before concluding that earlier today. This is… Bad. We’re waiting for weeks already for them to fix these aircraft.
On the airbus aircraft, if reverse isn’t working, turn “reverse on axis” to no and then back to yes and that fixes it
Yes, I know the “voodoo trick”. But was not working yesterday neither.
I found this problem before, and I think is related with deleting the reserved space. After lunching other aircraft like the A320 or A321 and trying again the A330, usually works (or doing the reverse on axis, “fix it”.
Worked for me last night the reverse on axis switch in the A330
Please keep the discussion only on the fuel usage issue.
Regarding the A330 reverse issue, please add your comments in the dedicated topic: Reversers not working on the Inibuilds A330. Thank you !
As mentioned above, please keep the discussion only on the fuel usage issue. If no existing report for you issue you can create a new report (using the provided template). Thank you !
So another update rushed out (.29) complete with an update for the A20N and A321LR and yet the A20N is still guzzling fuel at 7 tonnes per hour instead of 2 - awesome
Yes I can also confirm this issue is still present. A320Neo was using 20kg every 7 seconds when climbing. Beyond a joke!
I timed it with the airbus timer, it told me FF 1+2 was 70 KG/min. It used just over 140 KG during the timed minute….
SU4 1.6.29.0
- A320/A321 (non documented update) 6.27.0
- A330 (non documented update, yesterday) 6.26.0
Bug NOT fixed. XBOX X
