I don’t think the heavy aircraft (747, dreamlifter, etc) will be available til the heavy certification test is unlocked in a future update?
I think that for the heavy certification they are waiting for the Airbuses to be made compatible with the career mode. right now the Airbus made by Inibuilds are not compatible with the Career Mode
Anyone able to complete a 737-MAX Airline Mission? It always freezes up at the end, and on long flights, I get a massive, unplayable FPS degradation.
Is the PC-12 usable despite the pressurization bug?
yes its usable, just keep it below 18k feet
Yes sir. Just set your cruise altitude to 110 or 120 until its rectified.
Nasty winds took out my C172 on approach.
360,000 cr. repairs.
I’m struggling to see the ‘fun’ in this today…
At least you survived. So it was a good landing.
Since I started this thread, and I am who I am, I read every post that is put here.
I fail to see the fun in it through the eyes of most of these posts.
There are a bazillion video games out there that are fun, not frustrating, not full of bugs and reward you properly for your time investment.
Career Mode sounds like it is consistently none of those.
Insurance is a scam until you need it.
I would truly encourage the developers of this mode to look at the wind layer on the world map in Career mode. And ask themselves what they would fly in these winds. Save for commercial airliners these winds are not feasible for anything else. Yes, you can fly and can land but it’s neither safe, realistic, or sane really. And the Career mode was made for “casual” simmers in the first place. I wonder how they are expected to succeed in weather patterns like we have now.
I wouldn’t say Career is not fun at all. I would say it’s addictive, but also a constant struggle, instead of being the joy of flight it was probably envisioned to be.
man in black suit: “sir, we’d like to have a few words with you about your cargo flight on August 15, Monday 2022 in violation of Special Federal Aviation Regulation number 79. if you’d be so kind as to step out of the aircraft… right now…”
I’m really enjoying a new bug for me, I land at the destination airport, head to the hold short for it to suddenly move to the other end of the airport followed by a nice “entering a taxiway unauthorised” aviator performance knock. Thanks I guess
So, after a day’s employee grinding, I scraped together enough credits to repair my engine and critical components. Radio, lights are most other non-vital systems are still broken.
Back in the air having realised that I can’t talk to ATC. Well, they have a tower, they can see what I’m doing. Turns out I thought the taxiway was a runway. Never mind, in the air and out of their hair…
After only 5 credits to my name (and a very careful landing), I’ve got 50,000 credits and I can get the other repairs done now… ![]()
I’d recommend you save enough money to buy another 172 and then use that as your baseline financial level, at least until insurance gets sorted out properly!
If everything goes to plan, I will have both the money and the specialization requirements to buy a Saab 340 and unlock heavy cargo missions.
I don’t dare to look up the topic of how bugged out that aircraft is…
I didn’t think there were any heavy cargo missions yet? ![]()
I assume there are. Only the superheavy (Beluga) is missing because the certification required is not in the game.
fair enough, I just thought I’d read someone else buying the Saab and then finding no missions for it ![]()
Now that would be something, buying a 11,2 million Cr aircraft only to not be able to use it for anything!
I’ll have to look into this more. Thanks. MSFS 2024 never ceases to unpleasantly surprise me.
