ive just done the following amd worked for me finally
1 skip past avatar creation then when at main world page exit the game.
2 go i to local then streamed packages.
3 scroll down till you see asobo procedure generation avatar and one that says same but pilot
4 delete both
restart game
once back in main world page click on your bame then customise identity
all options should now be there and will let you create it without it crashing.
