2024 Passive income and mission revenue

Hi, I have been working on a sheet to calculate the actual income either by flying a mission or with passive income. And the most important (to me) how fast do you earn the cost of an airplane? This information is hard to come by. The list is incomplete, small to medium airplanes only, but some day I will start running large airliners. Data gathered is as listed in the game as I explain below, for airplanes I actually own.

Passive Income

  • Airplane: brand/type

  • Company: flight type

  • Cr/hrs: payout per hour as listed on the airplane on the mission map

  • Price ( New ): price as listed in the “buy aircraft” / “new” section

  • Hrs break even: how long does it take to earn the purchase price back ( gross )

  • Income /25hrs: income per maintenance cycle

  • Maintenance /25hr: average maintenance cost per 24hrs based on actual payments, including the check up. ( grey color = 10 payments )

  • Net /25hr: net income per maintenance cycle after maintenance cost

  • Net /hrs: net income per hour including maintenance cost

  • Net % of price: what is the percentage of net /hrs of the new price

  • Hrs break even: how long does it actually takes to get the purchase price back

Mission payout

  • Mission payout: how much does a mission pays, average of 9 missions listed for this aircraft type

  • Bonus: mission bonus payout of 20%, S level reputation

  • Total: mission payout + bonus

  • Mission length: how long does a mission take, average of 9 missions listed for this aircraft type

  • Insurance: insurance cost per hour, advanced level ( medium ), S level reputation discount

  • Total fuel cost: fuel listed at mission briefing multiplied by actual fuel cost per lbs

  • Maintenance cost: maintenance cost per mission flight time

  • Net payout: what you earn in total after paying insurance, fuel and maintenance costs

  • Net payout/hr: net payout divided by mission lenght

Yesterday I noticed a new section was added to company management showing real-time information about passive income earned, per day.

I have a long way to go to get to airliners.
Also, I have 85 airplanes, but I stopped maintaining my Cessna 208B airplanes because the cost is just too high.

Nice work done ,thank you for that.

But when i compare Pc12 and 208 in medium cargo on long term the results are very different to yours.Yes ,it happens temporarely that maintainance exceeds 3 million cr on 208s.But same thing happens to PC12s too.So looks like your comparison in that case is for maybe one single maintainance only.On long term(i am using dozens of 208s and pc12s for passive income long term already)they are not far away from each other when it comes to maintainance.

By the way ,PC12s have a higher income in VIP Missions and they are my favorite money making plane for passive income

Hi, thanks for you remark. Actually, I have 5 maintenances for the 208 in cargo, and 2 in Skydive and 2 in medivac. Since I bought my first maintenance has always been this high.
The PC-12 in cargo has 4, and this is the airplane I am actually flying a lot. So I would expect more expensive maintenance. When I get the change I will add a PC-12 in VIP so I can add it to my list.

OH MY! … Thanks for the crazy good work!!!

I think there are so many situations in so many different ways that just by sharing this kind of information is the key to the enjoyment of the game! I myself got caught up in the “make money as fast as I can” and at one point I was hurrying and stressing out just landing a C-172! Come on now! I was an instructor back in the day (um .. I’m 70 now)!

I think this wonderful program, (and yes with the bugs) lets us find our own way. I’m still early in the game as have 3 companies with various C 172’s -3 ,C 208B’s -4, a TBM, and a G2. I’m far from where it’s going but for now those 9 planes earn me about 1m cr for 2.5hrs in passive income. Yes sometimes it doesn’t cover the maintaince but most times it does. I do maintaince first thing in morning, fix everythins that’s only got less than the half in the orarge range. It’s enough presently that I’m making money and I fly as a employee, cherry picking missions that basically lets me fly whatever and wherever. Oh yea, I don’t have to pay insurance on crewed aircraft. Realistic no, it must have the insurance guys just a shaking, lol, and yes just kidding. Lately I’ve been flying around my old early days in Michigan and new, totally new places/countries and having fun. I still take my flying serious but now with a smirky grin… Thanks again for the excellent work and maybe we can get more input from all different level of aviators!
