Yes, I am aware of the recent 16.1 update, and of course also SU16. While both of these updates addressed a few key bugs (mostly around CTD conditions) their main objective was to align FS2020 with the FS2024 world, which for many FS2020 users was perceived as a visual downgrade.
The broader feeling of FS2020 being abandoned lies in the fact that after October 2024 the bug list that provided visibility into future FS2020 development plans stopped being updated or even shown. The most recent wishlist still contained FS2020 items, but status updates mostly reflect FS2024 fixes.
While the lack of FS2020-focused updates was initially understandable due to how the launch of FS2024 was going, the fact that it’s been over a year since an FS2020 bug list has been published tends to reinforce the perception that its future is being abandoned.
In the May 2025 developer stream Jorg answered the following question:
Jorg: ”Yes, I will do that. I’ll try it. I might try it for, well, it’s tomorrow right? How about next week. I’ll do it next week."
Unfortunately, this never actually happened.
By this point it feels almost futile to hope that this list will return to a Developer Update anytime soon.
