If they fix the background globe spinning uncontrollably after returning to the menu while using the Tobii eye tracker then I’ll have to go back to drinking heavily again…
It still spins when using Opentrack (with Logitech Brio webcam instead of Tobii)
Despite the release notes talking about fixing the Tobii eye tracker CTD (which was fixed in this very small patch), one still cannot actually use the Tobii yet because you cannot adjust the sensitivity curves. So the programmer fixed the CTD but never bothered to test the Tobii and this bug was reported in the tech alpha along with many others still awaiting a fix. There is a workaround using third party open software that Tobii posted but Asobo still needs to actually get the Tobii working like it was in msfs2020 (and of course the marketing of the tobii in msfs2024 is still posted on their website depsite the non-working device for now).
I wonder if LTFM will be added within the next patch ? I knew that it was in the game by watching some alpha tests, but somehow it’s not included in the game.
Then maybe they can/could go for the Coherent API bug which consistently CTDs Xboxes and many PCs when trying to use the airliners on medium to large airports?
“Best sim ever”
What are the Devs basing this on?
Fix the dam tree’s, they’ve taken over the world.
The triffids are here!
ha… yeah… they kinda did
What ever they was smoking whilst producing the “best flight simulator” must of been growing on the trees that are on the runway threshold at Redhill aerodrome!!

Thank you! I’ve actually left you a message in that thread.
Yes that’s what we usually do, but we also have larger released aimed at fixing minor issues or adding new features. I understand why they took this approach, but I just feel there are so many things going on, I’d hope they’d take a little more time before rolling out patches.
But they know better than I where they sit and what needs to be fixed.
I actually agree with like 99% of what you have said. I only took issue when you took a shot at me personally and all other software devs who misinterpreted a poorly written patch note. What you said seems to be the most plausible answer because it’s far more likely than them being that bad. If you read the patch note literally it’s easy to come to the conclusion we did, and perhaps we did knee jerk on it.
In the future, just understand, not everyone deletes posts because they are stupid or trying to hide. As in my case, I deleted them because I had considered what you said and found it to be plausible and I don’t like misinformation. I assume the other people who deleted their posts felt this way as well. I don’t blame either myself or them for thinking what we did, because the note literally says what we believed. Our only crime here is taking the note literally and not using some interpretation.
I think we could have more patience giving them the benefit of the doubt and trying to discern what they really mean (I will personally try to do this myself), and you could also have some patience and understand a bunch of people interpreting things literally does not make them idiots or bad software developers. Especially when it is our jobs to have an incredibly high level of specificity.
I appreciate your subsequent posts, and I did appreciate your comment on reddit, outside of the personal attacks.
You’re showing your age. And so am I, because I instantly knew what you were talking about. I was thinking the same thing.
over 24 hrs later and still can’t get past 97%. 'loading is usually long"
Wow usually takes me about 1:40 to get in(where the VIP video starts). Try going to xbox app support and run the repair tool. I do it regularly for 2020 which I keep flipping back and forth to and it keeps finding updates every other time I run it.
You’re absolutely right. Also this time we at least have MSFS 2020 to fall back on, and honestly, that’s not a bad sim to fall back on. Most things work in it, there’s plenty of planes to fly.
2020 existing is what allows me to be more patient with 2024.
They told us they would do exactly this, it was even in the pinned post above this forum. This is to bring peace and happiness to us, passionate simmers.
After the patch in week of Dec 9th there will be an option to opt in or opt out of certain add-ons. So then you can try for yourself what you want to try out.
It was a good day!
