Before this update, I was fine. Now my controls don’t work anymore, I can’t save control settings and when I can configure it, the sim doesn’t respond to my input.
I don’t know if it’s related to this patch, but now my sim won’t even start - I just get endless repeats of the trailer, with a clickbox saying “Quit to Desktop”.
It was working OK previously, and once or twice with the update.
hopefully next week. so from launch until Patch 3, thats 3 weekends without /until a functional sim to enjoy. not great. thats all assuming patch 3 next week will be substantial as they claim, but same time they claimed a lot of things pre launch. so im 50/50, just gotta see.
Thanks. yeah we’ll see, I’m hoping patch 3 is a big help to a lot of people. perhaps even what should’ve been the starting point 3 weeks ago
can you link the tracker please?
Great, but does that also mean they are going to essentially unlock/release (in full, not a slow staggered plan) all our add ons back to us next week. or just roll out the ability to do enabling as a place holder until later?
until more patches come out and the marketplace is live, the sim is not really released in full.
They’ve already said they’re manually ingesting the thousands of addons
Until they get them into 2024 you won’t be able to access them, once they’re in then you can enable or disable them
It sounds like they’re close to done
1.5 yrs promised and marketed a solid sim & many features on Day 1.
reality much of that did not happen.
very frustrating, just give us our stuff we paid for. both the sim and prior add ons.
seriously debating about saying forget it to 2024 for a while & checking back in the spring
where were they for 1.5 yrs from the June 2023 announcement. why is this all happening post launch. very poorly run project
I hope they’re all disabled by default, and that there’ll be an option to select/deselect all, just to make life a little easier for those that have many dlc.
As far as I understood it will only be streamed when you select the plane to use. This way you could argue it is already disabled.
I’d prefer the opposite actually. Too that point, I have a lot of dlc of which nearly all but maybe 10 things I don’t use. So for me, it would be easier to toggle Disable for a few vs Enable for a ton. And even to download them to eliminate some streaming would be ideal
Yes, you both make valid comments.
I’m pretty sure patch 3’s supposed to give us the option of enabling or disabling specific 2020 add-ons. Enable the ones you want the sim to use and fly away
sounds like that is the thought of many, we’ll see next week.
Hi @GaugeForever - see:
Have you tried to uninstall and do a fresh installation. I guess the fresh installation might come already with the patch included.
At least I do not recall I had to download the patch after my last fresh install.
That is correct. I did a reinstall yesterday and the result was the latest version of the software.
Oh, and the reinstalled version, even though I had previously updated the old installation, led to what feels like far better performance in VR. \o/
You might to do this tonight again
Got this message from Support today:
If the issue still persists, we ask you to wait for the patch 3 to go live later tonight and trying again to see if the situation has improved. This is a big batch and will include a lot of fixes for issues users have been reporting.
Not sure how reliable this is, there might be some showstopper appear during the day.
