Hi all,
Is there a third-party T6 (old model, with the radial engine) that works correctly with 2020?
The ones supplied in the Reno pack are completely buggy and unusable.
And does anyone have the Virtavia’s Yak-52?
What’s it like? Good, fair or mediocre?
How does it fly ?
Reading correctly is even better than Google.
I asked for the old model of T6 with the radial engine, and for the thoughts of users for the Yak.
Thanks for your effort.
@CasualOne7471, You’re either trolling or you’re slow. The user is asking about:
and opinions on the Yak, including saying they are unhappy with the Asobo T-6.
To the user, there isn’t a WW2-era T-6 yet outside of the Asobo offering.
Regarding the Yak, it’s perfectly average, with some enhancements on the .to.
Thanks for the reply.
It’s a real shame that nobody makes a good T6. It’s a great classic of vintages planes.
I think I’ll be tempted by the Yak.
Do you know if the sounds include the pneumatic noise of the brakes and flaps?
I have wondered this myself, such an important and wide spread trainer plane yet the only version is the Reno air race version. Which really isnt that good.
Most of the ww2, Korean, Vietnam Aces started their flying in a T6 Texan/Harvard.
Its got an awesome sounding radial, a turn radius that is tighter than a one winged Seagull.
It would be a hugely popular add on in the marketplace for both PC and XBOX users alike.
For those interested in the T6, I’ve discovered that two Reno models are usable.
Not perfects of course, but flyables, with no bugs with the propeller or landing gear.
These are the “BABY BOOMER” and the “EROS”.
(Is there a relationship between the two names ? )
I’ve got a few ideas to improve them, but given that they’re encrypted, it’s not easy.
I’ll try this later.
Right now I’m working on my new Virtavia Yak-52 and it’s looking good.
I’ll tell you as soon as I can.
I hear what you say but I can not imagine that A2A would ever do anything that is other than ‘done properly’. They are, probably, the most exacting of devs out there.
Over on Simouthouse Forum, there is a thread for an improvement mod to the T-6 in the base Reno pack. It’s still being developed but it looks to improve a number of different features. It won’t turn it study level but aims to include an opening canopy, corrected prop rotation direction (a big bug bear considering how basic it is in the base aeroplane) and engine priming logic.
A recent mod also mentioned on Simouthouse forum, a mod for the P-51D Mustang and also for the base Reno back, was uploaded to Flightsim.to so I assume this one will be the same, once it’s complete.
Unfortunately I just don’t think many developers will take on an aeroplane that’s been done by Asobo already and is a default aircraft in FS2024.
I did hope with the aircraft being default in FS2024 it would be improved however it hasn’t at all. It’s worth stressing this mod is only for MS2020 and yes you need the base Reno pack for the aircraft however I think it’s the best version of the aeroplane we are going to get for some time. If this mod is as good as the P-51D mod, it’s pretty much a game changer for the aircraft. I expect the T-6 will be no different.
I Hate seeing comments like this. You do realize their Comanche is a “port over” from their FSX model? 90% of aircraft in MSFS started life in another sim.
When people say “I hope so-and-so will bring their aircraft to MSFS”, they’re not saying they wish someone would run a plane through that tool and then sell it. A model is a model. Flight data is flight data. Having already built a plane once for FSX is a huge advantage for developing it to run in 2020 or 2024. Sure, nowadays you need to improve those models and redo them, but, the days of “port over” are long behind us.
Clearly A2A succeeded with their Commanche. I’m sure they’ll do the same for the Texan, should they choose too develop it (I’m pretty sure we won’t see it for 10 years, if at all, sadly, it doesnt seem like they’re all that interested in development for the public anymore).
