I am going to get a Intel core i9 with 64G ram and RTX 3080 Ti.
do you have a 4k monitor recommendation?
This is mine. I love it. PB287Q | Monitors | ASUS Canada
If you have the space, and the funds then an LG C1 is stunning
Not exactly 4K but i have and recommend
LG 38GN950.
If you are spending the money for a 4k monitor, get one with G-sync. They cost a little more but IMHO it is worth it. G-sync is easily configured in the NVIDIA Control Panel. And use the DisplayPort connection, not HDMI.
Or even a LG CX
UHD/4K TV’s are a lot cheaper and bigger than 4K monitors
find a 100Mhz or higher one (122Hz) up to 77 inch
I always forget which one is the latest!
Gigabyte has an awesome 32 inch 4k 144hz monitor
55" Sony bravado here, if you have the desk space this is the one I would go with, unless you also play fps games, then yeah go for a 32" monitor with variable refresh rates…But just for this I went for the TV myself.
Not sure if the CX is more recent than the G1 series. In the LG OLED series you’re looking at screens that are not very thick (1/4") and incredible blacks and colors. A little pricey, but at this point… LOL!
I recently did quite a bit of research ino finding a 4k monitor for myself and I settled on the Gigabyte M32U 31.5" 144Hz UHD KVM Gaming Monitor. Budget was important to me and I found the M32U to offer a lot for the price. Importantly, I wanted something with HDMI v2.1, which the M32U has, to support a screen refresh of 120fps at 4k resolution when playing other games, plus variable refresh rate with AMD FreeSync. I’m very happy with it.
I have the Samsung G9 49" with a 3090. Love it. Considering buying a second.
Coming back here again for suggestions.
My main use case is playing MSFS 2020 and make youtube videos. MSFS is the first ever video game I have played. Not planning on playing any other shooter games and such.
I will be getting a Intel I9, 64G ram with 3080 ti.
Wondering ASUS ROG Swift PG348Q 34 is a good choice for monitor.
From what little I know.
IPS - good
34 - about what my desk can handle
G-sync - a good thing. Wondering if this is relevant given this has a 100Hz refresh?
5ms response time - Is this good? bad? average?
3440x1440 - Is this a 4K monitor? if not, what resolution defines a monitor to be 4K?
if this not 4K do you have recommendation for a 4K monitor? Yes, I am posting this question again. Would like to get as much info as possible before I spend some serious change…
thank you all
No this is an ultrawide 1440p, 4k monitor res is 3840x2160
you really should look at an 48" LG OLED if you have the room, the picture is stunning.
Thank you. While this looks stunning it is way too big for my desk. But your note about 4K is much appreciated.
Samsung G9
