Before patch 3 MSFS 2024 started up for me in around 3 minutes. Start up animations were very smooth. After this latest update (patch 3) my boot animation seems jerky and I sit at 6% - Loading Language for 2 min 15 sec. Total boot time is over 4 minutes. I have tried different VPN and I have nothing in my community folder. I am seeing other reports of this same issue on other forums. This is getting ridiculous.

I know the feeling, I get stuck around 14% and it won’t go any further… Also I have been getting the 6% Language.
I only got it when the update started to install took maybe a minute or so to progress beyond that. I don’t get it anymore just the one time for the update.

Mine was fixed by force-quitting the game and restarting the Console/PC

Loading language hangs at 6%, then creeps slowly up. Very slowly.
Next phase is also very slow. Cannot recall the word it uses. ( edit… Activating packages)
Loading sim objects 1058 is normal.
Loading world is far slower and very stuttery.
Next time you try tio start, it wants to boot in safe mode … Loading language VTF or VTR or somesuch accronym and no change in behaviour. Hangs at 6% ect.

Same issue here. 2 minutes before patch. 5-10 minutes now.
Yep, sits at 6% for a long time. Once it loads, it’s fine, no safe mode restarts or anything.
The whole issue in general seems to have significantly improved over the last 2 days. Mines was stuck at 14% for up to 8-10 minutes before loading again. The last two days, it’s closer to 20-30 seconds. Seems like they’ve improved something on their backend leading to faster activations.
Still same issue, taking forever
For me it helps to open the Nvidia Control Panel and check if you lock the Monitor Refresh rate. Unlocking this, solved my issues stopping at 6% language loading

As incredible as it may seem, this is true. I just reset the NVIDIA settings and it no longer gets stuck at 6% loading language. The question that arises would be what is the relationship between limiting the frames and the time it takes to load the simulator. I must say that the loading time of 2020 also improves although not in the same ratio as with 2024. Limiting the frames to 60 is something I basically do so that the video card does not “exert” more than it should trying to reach 120 without any valid reason for that. Well. This situation will have to be investigated.

Mine has stuck at 6% on language as well, sometimes up to 5 minutes just for that part, 7.5 minutes total. Removing the Nvidia locked frames isn’t practical for me since the sim doesn’t offer the same setting. I can’t go back to the Nvidia control panel to re-lock the frames once the simulator has started, doesn’t take effect until I restart the sim. Now I’m wondering if my locked frames are the source of the stutters that only showed up after the last patch. I had zero stutters prior to that.
The last weekend was terrible in terms of loading times, and as an added “bonus”, when I aborted the long loading time to start again they wiped out all my settings, I had to start like after a fresh install. Nice… but wait… they did it 2 times over the weekend. This loading process is seriously a joke.
