I agree ! We should have a “Flagged by the Community” for some of those very questionable addons. We, us..etc…are the community… Right ?? Sometimes I wonder.
Yeah, but the AI images are so obvious if you fall for it you deserve it. It doesn’t bother me at all. As far as I’m concerned if it raises money for the game in general I’m good with it. I personally feel no pressure to buy it which is as it should be
I know there are players like them. I have a friend who flies outside the aircraft. What the panel looks like to him couldn’t matter less. We’ve had a couple fun discussions about it, but he thinks sitting in the cockpit is claustrophobic and “not fun” whereas don’t want to fly outside the cockpit. As far as I know he hasn’t been flying real recently, but before he always bought cheap aircraft because he didn’t see the point in the expensive ones.
I agree there’s some sketchy stuff going on with the reviews, but I Am quite certain that there’s plenty of people that this market applies to and who this market is targeting. This market is not targeting people who spend time on the forum. It seems that too many people here think they are the target audience and it’s completely unbelievable that anyone would buy a cheap aircraft and think it was fine. That’s just wrong.
Those are some very good comments. The user base of MSFS is hundreds of times larger than the active posters on this forum. We should never extrapolate our own ideas to the total customer group.
Mathijs
All fine and well if the cheap aircraft work, advertised the true state of the aircraft and charged an appropriate low product price.
Nobody is objecting to having easy aircraft to fly, were objecting to the patent dishonesty which has already misled a few folk not returning to the MP.
If someone wants to fly those, no problem but say it how it is in the advertising blurb, don’t deceive.
I agree with some thoughts, no problem,
problem is with description Professional and quality. What can I expect about rating 5.0 with low quality and not correct functional aircraft from this developer? Thanks to users doing tests and warning other people before to buy.
19 990 000 happy customers then, if we play with the idea 10 000 users here are not so very impressed. What’s the forum rate for PMDG Forum users vs customs base?
No , you are a very very small part of the community, the more serious part that requires good and in depth addons. that really isn’t representative of the entire community so would be unfair for you to judge or flag addons that others may find acceptable ( not defending this 737 it looks terrible just saying generally)
You are rights but there are rules which apply to every developer when publishing something on marketplace. E.G pictures need to be real from the sim no ai or chat gpt created wallpapers. Already this justifies to delete that published aircraft however it is not done yet and so unfair for all the creators who work months on their products before putting them into the marketplace. Just my personal 5 cents to this discussion
i would agree with things like all images should be in sim images
So, DLSS has to be turned off then ? ![]()
- Users who have an active (logged on in the last 12 months) forum account, around 0.2%
- Users who are regularly active (>1 post every 60 days) on our forums <0.1% (as the numbers become less reliable in that regime, things are not totally clear, but it is closer to 0.05% than it is 0.1%)
Those numbers are far better than the industry standard, btw. Most likely because we use it as our primary means of communication.

Haha god point LOL! You nailed the Friday joke good one I need to accept
Mathijs,
This issue is not the fact that the product is low fidelity. The issue is that someone may purchase this product thinking it is something different, feel like they got burned, and never purchase another product off the marketplace again, including PMDG products. Maybe even quit the game entirely. This hurts the brand, and it hurts other developers, like yourself.
That’s interesting how many users that don’t interact on forums.
Have a nice weekend ![]()
I think I made it clear in previous posts that I share that sentiment. That said, the comment about users having wildly different skill levels and using the simulator in wildly different ways is absolutely correct. My comment was aimed at exactly that.
To be honest, we are not overly worried this will affect PMDG. The customers we target generally know how many engines a 737 has. And if one of them accidentally buys something like this, they will probably request a refund within three minutes and then immediately come to our forum to complain that the 747 is still not released. ![]()
Fact remains, Microsoft should remove that product until things are sorted out. I think more companies should be visible here stating the same. The Marketplace is very important for this hobby.
Mathijs
It’s a harsh lesson for anybody starting in Marketing. You always interact with a very small (but very visible/vocal) part of your customers.
Mathijs, I agree with your sentiment that flight sim is more than just the “hardcore” crowd. This era of MSFS has been incredibly welcoming to those of varying skills.
I find it a bit discourteous to dismiss potential customers because they don’t know what they don’t know. We all started knowing absolutely nothing. Saying “we don’t need them/it won’t affect us” is a bad look, in my opinion.
But again, appreciate your voice on this forum, especially in regards to this issue. I imagine the Marketplace has done wonders for PMDG’s exposure to new demographics.
