787-10 and 747-8 versions

Why is the default 787-10 and 747-8 running a very old version of the avionics before AAU2 update. The cockpit buttons everywhere look different (Actually just a few days ago I flew on a 787-10 IRL and I went into the cockpit as all avgeeks do and the buttons and the whole cockpit looked so much better in the 2020 version) Fonts were correct, there was simbrief import which is crucial for long haul flying.

Also I checked the WT versions in the FMS and it turns out that the one in 2024 is running 2.0.6 for both planes and the one in 2020 is running 0.2.8. Now it might sound better to run what sounds like a later version, but it is NOT a later version, they just changed the number, but it is 2 iterations behind the one in 2020. I seriously see NO reason why this is the case.

They aren’t. The 2024 avionics versions are identical to the 2020 version with some additional fixes and updates.

The only change is regarding SimBrief: as opposed to favoring one single third party for syncing flight plans, we are making it possible for any third party devloper to sync plans via new platform APIs. The new versions use this system.

On the art side (which we at WT do not do, that’s other teams), the aircraft have been completely redone.

Does WT have anything to do with engines 1&2 spinning the wrong direction and engines 3 and 4 being reversed? Meaning starting engine 3, animates engine 4 and starting engine 4 animates 3?
