8 inch tablet as FMC/MCDU

Anyone using an 8 inch android tablet as an FMC with software that works with PMDG?

I’m thinking of buying a cheap android tablet just for this, so none of the usual bells and whistles necessary, only the capacity to either run an app or effectively display and support a browser interface.

Is there anything software wise that also supports the Fenix 320? Appreciate it’s a bit more closed for third party access at the moment.

I run the Fenix A320 mouse free on 1 android tablet, 2 iPads and a 22” touch screen and 2 15.6” touch screens.

Using Space Desk to make the iPads and tablet as monitors and Air Manager for the panels / overlays as well as knobsters for the dials.

I use https://www.aviaworx.com/aviacdu. Run my PMDG FMC with it on an android tablet. i only bought the single license for 1 FMC. WORKS GREAT,. You cqn try the demo but you cant control the cdu with the demo. I highly recommend it.

Same here—Lenovo Tab M8 8” tablet with Aviaworx, and I use it for the 737 and CRJ, works perfectly.

Seems this new Simbox app will get the Fenix MCDU on a tablet, although I haven’t looked into it yet.

Can I ask what brand of touchscreens you are using ?

Samsung Tab 5s that I’ve had for a while. You dont need anything high end. As long as you have a browser… i have a wifi network in the house. My pc’s are all ethernet and phones and tablets are wifi all on the same network. Theres is no lag for me and any changes made on the tablet show on the sim instantly.

I use Aviaworx, as mentioned above already. Works great for the CRJ and PMDG.
Costs a few bucks, works with any device as you only need a browser to view it on your tablet.

I’m using 15.6" Wimaxit’s mounted ontop of the Alpha and Bravo with custom brackets from Stay Level Avionix.

The touch on the right is a 22" Planar Helium.

2 Ipads and an Android Tablet.

LorbyAxisAndOhs also include a pack of CDU/FMCs that run on a web browser via its WebAPI plugin. It´s an alternative for this and it supports both Asobo and the most popular payware aircraft as well.

You have every aircraft working via a single application, which is easier. You can access that browser IP address from a tablet. If you prefer you can also run browser locally in your PC and display it in a separate screen using any WiFi screen software like Duet Display for instance.

Cheers

Are those FBWa320 panels from Air Manager working with fenix or is there some for fenix?

We have a friend in our Discord Community who converted everything from the FBW and with a few other free tools from other groups has got it all working on the Fenix.
