ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
As per title - as soon as you’re in the air the plane heavily pitches down - trim controls do not function- makes the plane really difficult to fly and kind ruins the experience.

  1. Start a flight, get in the air, try using the trim controls and fail, watch the plane go straight down

Yes, and the “autotrim” switches neither, plane to avoid till they solve it.

Concur, seriously annoying, otherwise the jet seems to perform well

Same problem for me here in the middle of January. No pitch trim!

And more, the auto-trim and their switches like modern fighters does not work.

Hope it will be solved in the future, though, I have doubts of that, because the same paid model in FS20 has the same issues after many years, if I remember well.

The payware A-10’s previously available are by different (and in my estimation, lower quality) developers than the default aircraft included in 2024 - I’m optimistic that it may be resolved sooner than later.

Same issue here using the X-56 HOTAS. Once assigned to buttons on stick, they do nothing.

Yep, it’s not a controls issue - the aircraft was not modeled with elevator trim. Allegedly the developer has fixed it but it’s in a long backlog of changes waiting to be tested, verified, and published.

I am in the FS24 beta, and just tested the plane, and the A-10 had manual trim already, thanks, although the auto-trim doesn´t work still and nothing happens pressing those switches.

I’ll have to test as it definitely didn’t have manual elevator trim controls pre-SU1.

Just tested after getting the latest 2024 update and the trim function is working.

Yep, I think it was added in one of the last betas, I just never got to checking it.
