Hi guys, i might be missing something but i have just upgraded the A2A Comanche to now 1.4.3. As seen in the screenshot the A2A folder is installed in the community folder. However, i cannot see the aircraft in the aircraft selection.
It might be worth checking the integrity of Comanche directory in your community folder, especially if youâre using third-party antivirus software which may have quarantined part of the installation.
If you right click the âa2a-aircraft-pa24â folder and click âpropertiesâ it should contain 556 files and 44 folders and be 1.87 GB in size.
Thanks Nick, i had totally different values, i just installed the product from scratch and now i am able to see the aircraft in the hangar. Many thanks for your support!
This is just one example of why Asobo needs a UI/UX designer for its next sim. I installed it and searched for Commanche and got nothing and, as mentioned here, you have to search for Piper.
The entire MSFS UI is not very responsive, clunky and likely designed primarily around am Xbox console platform experience. Itâs why some add-ons for MSFS include user interface add-ons such as Pro Flow. It should NOT be needed if a company takes UI/UX seriously.
And for me it shows up for search for âcomâ (not just âpiperâ) but itâs the one from their website direct, not that this should make a difference?
I have downloaded the aircraft from marketplace and it does not have this number of files. My airplane does not show up in the hanger, i have reset the game and reinstalled the addon, restarted my computer, what could cause not all of the files to be downloaded from the marketplace?
If you installed via the Marketplace, the Comanche will go in the âofficialâ folder rather than the âcommunityâ folder.
Marketplace installs should be very reliable, although itâs not something we as developers have any influence over, so unfortunately we canât assist here directly.
However, Iâd recommend you search your hangar for the term âComancheâ and if itâs definitely not showing, search the âofficialâ folder for the âa2a-aircraft-pa24â folder too.
You could also try the troubleshooting steps here too:
Hello, I installed the latest update (1.6.2: 1.92 GB, 591 files and 45 folders) downloaded from the A2A website. The file is in the Community but since then, the plane no longer appears in FS202 despite all my research (P, Piper, Comanche, A2A, âŠ). It appeared earlier. Do you have a solution?
Thank you very much for the help you can give me.
I reinstalled MSFS 2020 and it lost my A2A Comanche. So I reinstalled the plane but it did not show up in my hangar. I researched and tried a number of solutions but none worked. After a couple hours, I gave up and re-purchased the the A2A Comanche through the MSFS marketplace and let MSFS install it-- that worked. Too bad I had to waste $49 to purchase something I already owned a license to but in the end, my time is worth more. Hope this is helpful.
Iâd say if this happens to others to reach out to A2A on their forums or discord before taking that approach. They stand behind their stuff and bet they would help work it out.
I could not find the answer on A2As forums. Maybe itâs possible. Two hours of effort was more than enough for me. BTW I love A2A and had no problem in the past installing software downloaded from them to MSFS. The issue seems to be changes in MSFS. Again, my problem is solved and thatâs what I needed. The nature of the solution may point some problem solver towards the location of the problem.
I didnât mean to find the answer per-se, although yeah always look first. Theyâre responsive if you reach out directly and probably wouldâve either helped debug or given you a credit to their store to redownload it if youâre on PC and donât have to get it from marketplace and had proof of the previous purchase. Good on you for rebuying it just wanted to say that if anyone else had the issue.
I am on a PC indeed. Also, I did re-download it from A2A as my license gives me infinite downloads. It made no difference. But buying it again from MSFS and installing it from withing MSFS worked. Thatâs all.
