A2A is bringing the Cessna 172 to MSFS according to their roadmap:
This was posted on April 1, so there was a bit of confusion if this was an April 1st fool’s joke. But A2A subsequently confirmed that this roadmap is real and it’s not an April 1st prank:

I never thought it was, mainly because I couldn’t figure out what the prank was supposed to be.
That’s good news! Thanks for sharing it.
Does anyone know which variant they will do?
I hope it’s the steam variant. Simple plane, simple intruments.
For sure, a cessna 172 from A2a will be great. But in all honesty, you only fly a 172 as a student pilot. It’s a slow and easy aircraft.
Why would you say such a thing??
Perhaps you could say “I only fly it for training missions”… but don’t presume to assume what I would do with a C172.
My father was a private pilot. He trained in a Cessna 150, then graduated to Piper Cherokee 140 and 180, obtaining his Instrument and Commercial certifications. Eventually he joined a club which owned a Cessna 172 which he used for pleasure, travel, and his aerial photography business. Many pilots only want to fly GA and have no desire to work for an airline.
