[A319, A320, A321] Fenix High-Fidelity Aircraft

Have you done the AOC MENU - FLT INIT first? If not try that.

Actually I didn’t, but still no luck after that…

I was able to import it in the SEC-F-PLN and activate it. Strange.

Engines on or off? I think if engines are running that’s the expected behavior.

Cabin or duct temperature? Duct temperature of 80 degrees is not unusual (at least on other aircraft I have flown), it’s certainly warm but the air entering the cabin won’t be 80C.

definitely cabin, I had paused the game and when I unpaused I noticed the errors on the ECAM - not sure if pausing caused those errors, or whether it was a genuine systems fault, but the cabin and cockpit temperatures were up to 80C!

Yeah, they were running. So it should be fine when starting cold & dark. Thanks!

Things are just much easier if using tools like AAO, and it’s not even that expensive.

Cycling through the different positions of a switch is also quite easy: You just ned need two simple scrips, one increases value of the integer for the switch position and the other one decreases its value by one. If you include an if-statement so that you can’t increase above 2 (decrease below 0), you can control the lights with two buttons on your X-Touch mini. Not sure if that’s also possible with the Mobi tool, don’t have experience with it.

Btw, I also ended up using only two positions for the landing lights as I usually don’t use the OFF position either

Do you think that the off position might just be to allow the landing lights to be cleaned or is there a more flight functional reason for it?

What are the plans for other variants such as the a321?

Right now it’s not worth buying for me as FBW is “good enough”. But an a321 variant would make me purchase this plane no questions asked.

No, i have not tried it. I think i will wait and buy it if Asobo release API for camera movement.

Thanks, really appreciate your help! I guess I might buy AAO soon, it seems very comprehensive and versatile to adjust anything tbh. The python tool I was using was very lightweight, didn’t bloat the PC much and fine for using FBWA320 for me, but yes, it has some limitations.

I like those messages we get

Is this predicted windspeed? This does not match the winds on METAR? What data does it set there? I know it’s from simbrief but what forecast model does simbrief use?

I don’t know if it’s actual wind speed or if you have to add the wind manually. I have flown other Thales avionics (not Airbus) and on those you have to manually add the wind there for it to calculate Vref additive (1/3 headwind or gust whichever is greater, minimum +5kt, maximum +15). Be aware that METAR wind is true instead of magnetic so you have to take MagVar into account when adding wind, ATIS and tower give magnetic wind directions.

In this it was set automatically. Thats why i wonder what data it sets

Its blue so you should be able to change it, maybe if you request a D-ATIS via ACARS it puts in the weather automatically? No clue really.

I requested init and wind from simbrief. I need to check up what data they use for winds and things. I can edit it manually  But METAR is not in MAG right?

Hello,

Does anyone know if TCAS is fully working ?
I don’t remember from my previous flights, but today I didn’t have any traffic on the ND.
TCAS was ON and TA/RA, but nothing on the display. I did cross a view Live Traffic planes though.

Thanks,

Exactly but usually you don’t use the METAR in flight. You punch in the data from ATIS and then on final you update it with wind you get from tower when you get your landing clearance.
