Are you sure you have not had a TCAS Action, when you were not watching the sim? If the plane has a TCAS alert it will switch to heading mode and if you have TA/RA on it will then either climb or descend uncommanded to avoid the threat. If you are going to leave the Fenix unattended switch to TA and then you will only get the alert, but the plane won’t take Resolution Action and thus will stay in managed heading mode, but crash into the AI planes..
Using AIG or FSLTL Traffic will put you at a greater risk of a TCAS alert.
Bottom Right Dial, if it is in TA/RA the plane will change to Heading mode and will climb or descent as needed to avoid another plane, in the setting it is in in the picture, you will only get the alert but the plane won’t do anything.
So the upshot of all this is:
You leave the sim since you are at Crz on a 3 hour flight say 45 mins in. While you are away the plane encounters a TCAS alert followed by the plane taking action to avoid the other plane, the plane will switch to manual heading and either climb or descend, once the threat is over the plane will go back to its original Alt (I think) but it will stay in manual heading mode and when you come back you will be miles and miles off of the plan.
So my advice is switch the TCAS setting to TA when leaving the plane for a while, and turn off collisions in your settings to avoid coming back to a crashed plane although I have never had this happen where my plane hits another plane.
Went back to try again, this time it was much more controllable despite still gusty weather. However, i realised I forgot to start FSRealistic this time… It is possible somehow that FSRealistic can interfere with the handling of aircraft??
Yup, I turn FS Realistic off now for Fenix / PMDG / MD82 etc and any Study level plane. V1 Simulations who is a real A320 Pilot and streamer said in one of his last streams that FS Realistic MAY interfere. with the Fenix Flight Model.
I have to say I had what you had with the plane going crazy just before touchdown, that has gone since not using FS Realistic with the Fenix.
I am hoping that someone here can please help me with an issue that I am having with the Fenix A320 that I cannot seem to solve. I have trawled through forums, videos and the Fenix website but none have solved my issue.
I recently did a flight and had the following fault with the aircraft.
I am aware that this fault can only be fixed and resolved whilst on the ground by maintenance crew. However no matter what I do I cannot get the issue to be found and fixed.
I have the issues listed on the ECAM to be worked on however when opening the menu I only ever get the diagnosing message and it returns to the same “Diagnose” click function.
Can someone please explain what I am doing wrong and how to fix this issue other than turning faults off?
i am having a FPS Issue with the Fenix for a few weeks now. I have capped my FPS to 30. After starting the Flight i switch to VR and while i am starting the Systems and entering the Flightplan the Frames drop from 30 to 8 or 9 after around 5 minutes. Switching to 2d doesnt help. The GPU load goes up to 99%, it is around 75% normally. Sometimes it helps when i pretend to cancel the flight but press on “cancel” when it asks if i really want to quit the flight. Then i am back in the Cockpit with solid 30FPS. But this workaround doesnt work everytime. I have tried to switch between GPU/CPU for the Display-rendering without any effect to this problem. this problem does only occur in the Fenix.

Do you guys have any idea?
What is this?
This was not here yesterday, and the previous flights I had to and from this airport. Today the Fenix crashed down into this hole in the asphalt and the flight was finished before it began.
Some handyflying to enjoy the third revision of my cockpit retexturing, so at least there was no FMC route programming otherwise I would have been mildly annoyed having my flight interrupted this way after an hour of cockpit preparation…
I’m completely flummoxed. I had Fenix a320 working a week ago. I left for the weekend for a funeral only to return to an update available message for version 146. I installed it and now the EFB says it cannot connect. It’s powered and I’m using VR to fly this thing but the EFB says it’s unable to connect. I’ve tried uninstalling the Fenix A320, I’ve assigned exceptions to my AVG Anti Virus (could <—THIS be a brand name problem with Fenix?) This all worked last week. Yes, I even quit the Fenix program while at the gate to restart it and still, no joy. Any thoughts as I believe this is a SimConnect issue.
Getting CTD’s everytime I fly the Fenix at the moment. Are there any known addons that it doesn’t play nicely with at the moment? For example FSDTL?
Was working fine a few weeks ago but now it crashes due to the graphics card but i have an Rtx 3080 10gb card so it’s no slouch. Running the studio driver on it which is up to date.
