[A319, A320, A321] Fenix High-Fidelity Aircraft

I can not put AP. I send photo.

As moving controls like the sidestick, rudder pedals or trim controls will deactivate AP, maybe try activating AP when all of these controls are in their neutral position.

Just get the aircraft flying in a stable manner, remove any manual input and press one of the AP buttons.

Yes, get the aircraft stable first. And what’s that warning on ECAM? I can’t read it from the screenshot.

Sorry, still can’t read it

I can read: Auto FL AP OFF

I get wired crashes since yesterday with fenix. The sim just stops to work somewhere in the flight and virtual memory issue message is indicated in the event manager

Then I would think there’s some problem with your controller or check your key bindings because you get this warning when you disconnect the autopilot via “Toggle autopilot master” keyboard/controller binding. I guess you also hear aural chime warning when this happens.

Aircraft seems not stable. Get a stable flight with appropriate speed and atitude and you AP will kick in when you want it.

A “dirty” controller axis/axes might also be at play here, so maybe also consider whether the deadzones associated with your primary flight controls might need to be increased.

As well as power cockpit windows, I’ve now got an automatic cockpit door fitted to my Fenix :grinning:

I though only in open descent or expedite climb, or when active choosing for example -3000 or -4000 or so on the flight-control-autopilot-panel variometer it does such steep sink or ascent rates.
In managed flight mode I always see the Phoenix rising with about ~ 1600-1800 feet per minute. Extra-smooth flying to go easy with the cargo nets I guess.

This makes me curious now and I will have a closer look to see what the average sinkrate / ascension of an Airbus is in the next flight of the Phoenix
(When choosing a manual V/S climb rate I always choose +1800 ft/min because this is a climb rate the Airbus can hold for some time).

Climb and descent rates in the managed mode mostly depend on CI (cost index)

to me it looks like for some reason the speed is too low, clb power, nose down to gain speed before going back to AP and managed climb mode

Anyone else think the gusts are just too much in MSFS, been trying to land in Jersey at the moment, had about 5 go arounds, don’t know whether its the fenix, or me, or the gusts, but I just can’t get it down at all, gets to about 300 ft above the runway and just goes mental all over the place, basically uncontrollable.

no, been fine, maybe you would want to go for approach METAR and get appropiate wind and temp data in the FMC in app phase and activate that before final, usually when gusts are severe it will give you more IAS and make the control surface more authority, maybe do a flaps 3 landing

For me the weather and especially the winds are spot on after SU10. Never experienced what you’re describing.

did some in LXGB and it didn’t go severe anyhow

How can I get the callsign speedbird?
I mostly fly experimental, especially artsy, or default liveries that´s why “Speedbird 320 Alpha” or “Phoenix rising `97” sounds so much better than “Airbus 33543”

Is there a way to get a nice custom callsign?

And winter is coming, does Fenix really plan not to implement any immersive icing on the Fenix?
But immersive winter and Alaska flights are not that immersive when there is zero icing on the plane! I really hope some icing is added to the Fenix to get into the perfect late autumn and winter mood

You choose your callsign before starting a flight in the MSFS menu. Or I just didn’t get what you’re asking about.
