I tried the exact same route today. Two ILS radios. It refused, where it went great yesterday.
It’s driving me nutty. I don’t know what’s different. Anyway, never mind. I hope PMDG picks up on this flakiness and improves it.
OK… I just read the website and the FSElite article. I have to put a foot in my mouth at this point. No, let me clarify - IF this thing does what it says it does, I WILL put a foot in my mouth. It sounds like it would be AT LEAST as good as what FSLabs gave us in P3D if not better. In which case, FSL dragging their feet would probably be eventually met with “we are all set here” from the consumers. Count me a lot more excited after looking further into this…
And no, I don’t believe FBW will ever come to this level in terms of features. I would be happy to put the other foot in my mouth when/if that happens. 
I STILL maintain that 318/319/321 would have been a more sound choice from marketability aspect but… who knows. Maybe they will do those via expansions the way FSLabs has done it.

yes the 318/319/321 would be good to have BUT the A320 is the biggest selling aircraft for Airbus so it makes sense to release that as the “core” then if future expansions allow they work off the A320 much like the IRL counterpart did.
I agree. Listen FBW makes a solid plane. But performance is sketchy and features still lack where you feel like wow this is study level. It seems vanilla at times. Yes they are improving but with Asobo on their side i feel like more work should be done. Yes it’s freeware but Asobo with their resources adopted them. The textures on the cockpit or exterior have not improved. I feel like the fenix will be a breath of fresh air. There’s room for both

I’m a GA guy, and this is my first go at a proper complex bird, the closest being the excellent WT-CJ4.
I’ll go into this opened eyed, fresh faced, and hoping that it’s something I’ll enjoy.

It’s only just hit Alpha a week ago, and has been in dev for quite some time, yet here we are with the announcement today.
It’ll be interesting how long the alpha and beta phases last. I don’t expect months and months, but if it does, then there would be a good reason for it. These guys have said they don’t compromise.
It’s already had VATSIM flights, and that’s a good sign at least - well IMO.
I don’t think they would have taken the covers off for us to then wait until the end of the year. At least here’s hoping!
