Hello everyone, I’ve got some problem after the last update from Microsoft for A320, I can’t turn the autopilot ON, even when I click and it’s green, I still can control the airplane, also I’m getting a Warning sound button and before the update It was working fine.
Uploaded a picture to show the Warning button and the autopilot button.
PS: Using the A320 Flybywire A32nx (tried using the default airplane too)
NOTE 2: When I setup the HDG to follow the CRS, the airplane and the autopilot doesn’t follow the route and keep flying in circle.
Sounds like normal behavior to me. Autopilot does not lock out the pilots ability to move the controls because the pilot is responsible for control of the aircraft at all times and sometimes humans know better tan computers. Most airliners are designed such that if the controls are moved, that disengages autopilot. Hence the warning you hear.
Have you adjusted the sensitivities on your controllers/joystick etc?
The last patch put them to zero. The electrical “noise” from some types causes interference, preventing the autopilot from engaging and following a course etc (even though your light may be on)
Go to controls/sensitivities and put the “null zones” to around 5% on all of the axis, (pitch, roll, yaw and throttle)
I am also having problems with it, the auto throttle isn’t working at all, I’m still able to control the aircraft while autopilot is engaged. Vertical speed mode is just completely broken for me too!
I’ll try to follow your instructions here, so far about the answer TCarlisle2012 gave, I agree with his words, but before the update from Microsoft It was not happening, and then after the update “flybywire” also updated the A320 to V0.3.1, and now i’m with this problem, also the airplane A320 start to fly in circle and don’t follow the flightplan, even with the HDG following the CRS, the autopilot doesn’t follow the route, it flies in circle.
Just a question, where do I supose to adjust those sensitivity options?
Inside the game options? Or in my windows system?
Another thing, I’m using the CH YOKE and noted that it keeps moving the bar, I’ve uploaded a picture here, but those white bars seems to move a little bit, could be this the problem?
Hi, I am not using the A32nx and I can confirm this, the autopilot is totally broken, navigation, vertical speed… IMO, I dont know if flybywire has fixed some of these bugs in the last patch
That’s exactly the problem, about the collumn in the left for sensitivity, I’ve found it, thx for the tip. I was trying to change in my CH manager out of the simulator, now I did the changes the Ash6246956 recommended, ill see if it works now.
I will save your time, I´m sure it doesn´t work, my dead zone is above 5 and autopilot is still turning around, unable to track the path or the heading, flying in circles until you crash, anyway good luck
You just saved, but I’ve tried hahaha, and the problem persists, exactly as you said, flying in circles until it crashes, now in this last try, the airplane was following the flightplan in the 3 first airways, suddenly disengaged the autopilot the button with alarm sound started, I reactivated the autopilot, it lost the direction and flies in circle till the crash.
great to know, I was thinking it was a problem with my YOKE joystick, then I updated the A320 flybywire, tried everything, even use the default a320, nothing solved the problem. Thx for every info so far LandedThunder60
Yes but in real life that would disengage the autopilot. The pilot and autopilot should never be steering the aircraft at the same time, as soon as control input is given the AP should disengage.
CWS or TCS modes are a exception to this but thats not relevant to the Airbus.
