Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• Yes. Easy to reproduce, just load up a flight in SimBrief and try loading it up on the aircraft. No Metar info gets downloaded. Only tried Airbus.

I can confirm that the problem persists with patch 1.5.23

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• Yes, even on SU3 1.5.23 following clean re-install of this SU3 beta

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• Same issue on PC/Steam edition

• This was not an issue in earlier SU3 betas, however unsure which SU3 version this issue started in.

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:
• Upon powering up aircraft, successfully loading the Simbrief data into the plane’s EFB, and pressing INIT on the MCDU, some flight basic flight info seems to already partially there but there is no “INIT Request” available to load the flight plan, and other info into the MCDU.

Example flight route in Simbrief for screenshots below is: KBOS**/09 N0441F380 SSOXS7 SSOXS Q167 RIFLE Q439 BRIGS JIIMS4 KPHL/**27R

Missing “INIT REQUEST” (highlighted in red) on INIT screen to load flight data into the MCDU:

Going to the Flight Plan screen only shows Departure/Destination:

If you go to Data and the A/C status and then cycle between the airac /nav options on the left (click the old and then click back to the current one), you’ll then get the Init Request option on first page of MCDU.

Yes, because cycling the AIRAC reset your MCDU. But this is an issue/bug introducen on patch 1.5.21, was not present before.

Since I did not click “send data to MCDU” option on the Sim EFB, I spect my MCDU have no info pre loaded.

I’m having the exact same issue on Series S. Which is a shame because since the last issue the sim is running much more smoothly. You’re right, the bug did indeed come on that patch

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• Yes, and on other Inibuilds aircraft (A330-200 RR)

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• The Inibuilds EFB can and does load the flight plan made on Simbrief but the MCDU no longer allows you to load it into the airplane’s actual systems via the “Confirm to Data” option, which no longer appears.

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:
• the forum software is unfortunately not letting me upload screenshots, any tips on how to do it are appreciated

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• Yes, after SU3 went public I’m no longer able to use ‘request init’

• Behavior as described by other users

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

It is a bug, because until the 1.5.21 you can select the airports on the world map to give the info to ATC and the MCDU remains empty.

On the EFB (Asobo/Working Title) there is an option to send info from EFB to avionics, I did not used it, so there is no reason to have the MCDU with departure/arrival airports pre-loaded.

The problem is that each partner is doing what they see fit.
Asobo needs to implement a usage philosophy and have all partners follow it.

If there is an official EFB (the one created/maintained by WT), the information selected on the world map should go only to that EFB.

If the user wants to quickly send the information to the avionics, there is an option in the EFB to do so.
If the user wants to use the EFB as a source of information and manually type the information into the MCDU, they should be able to do so.

I even think the EFB (WT) should be able to import information directly from Simbrief.

In the MCDU, when you enter the departure and arrival airports in the FROM/TO fields, the INIT REQUEST disappears. This is not a bug; it is by design.

So it’s logical that if you select the departure and arrival airports before the flight, the INIT REQUEST also disappears.

I guess you missed the issue when reading. Before SU3, you could select departure and arrival airports before the flight and the MCDU was not filled. So, you can perform an INIT REQUEST or fill the info manual input.

Now on SU3, if you select departure and arrival airports before the flight, the MCDU have departure and arrival airports loaded, obviusly INIT REQUEST is not available and you have to cycle the AIRAC to reset the MCDU.

There is nothing about logic, just a bug or bad design feature, because the “Send to avionics” option on the EFB is there to do EXACTLY that.

I described how it should work correctly. Whether this is actually a bug is for the developers to determine.

I wonder why you select the departure and arrival before the flight if tablet (EFB) already has the option “send to ATC”.

Sorry but no. You described what you think is correct. The correct way is not importing nothing on the MCDU and let the user input the info on his prefered mode. By Init request, sending to avionics or by hand input.

Because on Xbox is more easy to click on the airport to add’em to the EFB and send them to ATC for IFR, than typing. As you know, Xbox don’t have a keyboard.

Actually, I was referring to this post.

This is by design.

I hope the developers choose the best option for everyone and perhaps they will restore the previous behavior.
