Oh my god!!!
Guys how i can get a closer view to the EFB Pad? apart of zoom the image, it is possible to assign a quick view on there?
I suppose you can, you can use the transpose camera to move the camera around, get close to the EFB, and once you’re happy, press the keybind to save it as custom camera position, and you can use it to jump quickly onto it.
Yeah, I know right… It would be a lot easier if the FBW team just put this coding into their releases already, it literally just take a couple of seconds to do and it can be permanently applied whenever they update it. But sadly, this is unlikely to happen, so we have to do this ourselves.
I’m still not entirely clear on the difference between the Dev version and the Experimental version. Github is a bit of a nightmare to navigate if you just want the more basic information so I can’t seem to work it out. Why is installing the experimental version preferably to the dev version?
Experimental version is basically has everything that the development version has in terms of features and updates, however on top of that it also has additional feature that they overhaul the fly-by-wire control system over the development version.
The experimental version has better handling, much more realistic controls, and it’s even have its own laws over the development version like the Rotate Law that is active on take off. The rotate law automatically calculates the performance for taking off, based on the airspeed, fuel load, weight, centre of gravity, everything so that it can pitch the nose up at a constant rate until you release the sidestick to climb. The default, stable, development version doesn’t have this rotate law so when you take off, sometimes it gets twitch and you have to adjust your controls accordingly to have the right pitch rate.
Thank you! That sounds great!
Well heck I just got this version working. LOL
cool-cool! On my way to grab that one now! Thank you my friend!
Haha, thank you, I appreciate it. But this method is practically obsolete now. (Well you can still do it if you want, but Mugz has given us a simpler way to do it).
Just download this mod into your community folder. And you should be able to use the MCDU Options under MISC to show or hide the pilot or copilot models. No more code editing.. Hahahah.
