Hi All,
Hope this is in right section so Mods please move if needed.
I’m getting to grips with the A320v2 on my Xbox series X & currently create my flight plans within the sim itself.
On the EFB there is a tab to input your Simbrief ID number. As I have created an account I’ve put my ID number in the EFB but it says the username is not set.
Am I right to think Simbrief cannot be used on the Xbox to import a flight plan & my only option is to use the sim world map for creating & importing a flight plan?
You can use simbrief with this plane. You will need to sync it at the efb and mcdu. IIRC, for the efb, you use pilot ID and for the mcdu you use username. Not sure if it has changed but a while back the efb would only sync if you used the efb keyboard and would not work if you used the xbox keyboard. Weird, but true. There are many videos on youtube that should cover this as well.
I’ve entered my Pilot ID into the EFB and also into the MCDU but no plan showing anywhere. If I click on the simbrief on the EFB I just get an orange message along the top saying Simbrief plan requested.
is there something else I should be inputting in order for the plan I created to show up ?
I haven’t tried SimBrief in the A320 for Xbox, but I have used SimBrief in other aircraft on Xbox so I know it works.
By Pilot ID, make sure you’re using the 6 digit number, not the username. In both the EFB and FMS.
Also the flight plan bust be active, by clicking generate at the top left of the Simbrief Flightplan page.
EFB - are you using the integrated keyboard on the EFB to type your user ID (numbers)?
MCDU - the flight plan will not show up just by putting your ID, you need to go to INIT page and look on the right for INIT REQUEST or something like that.
And most importantly are you creating the flight plan on Simbrief properly? Selecting the correct airframe?
Look for a step by step in youtube, I am sure some are there.
Yes using the keyboard within the EFB, flight plan seems to be correct and yes correct airframe selected A320.
Will try again by looking for the Init request and see if that works.
Thanks
Earlier as simbrief wouldn’t install to the EFB I programmed it manually but I’m not sure if the below image is correct. As you can see in the highlighted circle are the dashed lines correct? There’s no speed or altitude against MAVIX. Is this correct?
Anyway it was a disaster as the plane for some reason decided to keep climbing and sim ended the flight.
All I want to do is complete a successful flight from EGPH to EGAA from start to finish. Out of about 20 attempts I’ve only managed to land it once by luck by disengaging the AP and flying it manually to prevent it over speeding and climbing or not decending at all.
I was hoping the simbrief flight plan might be a bit more realistic in terms of how the aircraft will behave compared to the insim plan.
